Re: Complex PTSD - Depression - Anxiety - ADD - Fibro Myalgia/Chronic Fatigue - How do you "get over it"?

gonna apologise in advance @Former-Member but this is gonna be long

so first my nan's dr has signed her off as fit to return to work even though she cant remember an hour and a half conversation we had 2 days ago im really worried about her but she is so happy to be back at work i dont want to ruin that for her but i dont want her over doing it so that she ends up back in hospital for months

then ive been dragged into a custody court case i have nothing to do with as i have been helping a friend out when her friend leaves her kids at her place which is quite regularly. anyway her friends partner's partner turned up at my friends place and recorded a conversation with out my knowledge and used mine and my sons name in their affidavits without my permission. this has nothing to do with me and not only that i cant even recall the night it happened i think i may have had dissociated but only partially. now i have been asked to do an affidavit. i am getting a letter from my psychologist to help with aspects of it but i dont know if it would stop me from being subpoenaed to court which is a major trigger point for me and could cause complete dissociation. im really at a loss of what to do and i am really freaking out. im also suppose to be doing more at home to make it easier on my mother in law who just had sugery a week ago but my stess is causing me to have more frequent "switches" paticularly when mr 4 is at daycare so for selfish reasons im keeping him home tomorrow. i just feel like im dissappointing a lot of people important to me right now

Ok @Former-Member
Firstly big hugs to you!!!

If your nans memory is ok short term she will probably be ok and having a job probably makes her feel like shes doing some good and give her abit of independence... you can always ask for a second opinion from another gp.
Is it possible for her to just do one or two days a week so shes not over doing it either?

That court case firstly they invaded your privacy by recording you without your knowledge and also toir consent. Id be speaking to your solicitor about that they may not be able to use that evidence as it is without your knowledge.
I think tour psych letter explaining your mental health state will help you as well. Saying that you could have easily been in another state on that night and you being triggered can again cause you to change alters which means unreliable information from you so that letter could help you.

And your also not selfish nor are you dissappointing anyone @Former-Member
Having a MI and having to deal with heaps of shite esp your triggers will be heightening your stress levels it would to people without an MI as well so your definitely not a dissapointment 💖💖💖

Re: Complex PTSD - Depression - Anxiety - ADD - Fibro Myalgia/Chronic Fatigue - How do you "get over it"?

That sounds like a lot of stress and responsibility for you @Former-Member. I know court is very stressful and triggering for a lot of people and can only imagine what it would be like with the additional fear of dissociation. Hopefully your psychologist letter will help. When might you know about whether you'll need to be subpoenaed?

As for keeping mr4 home, that doesn't sound selfish to me, that sounds a lot like 'self-care' which is essential for your wellbeing, and will have a flow on effect for Mr4.

Regarding the issue with your nan, I can understand your worry and see why that would be a concern for you. Does she understand your fear of her overdoing things?

That's a lot of questions for you @Former-Member, sorry. There's no need to respond to any of them but keep talking if it helps. I hope you are able to find time to look after you in all of that. Hugs

Re: Complex PTSD - Depression - Anxiety - ADD - Fibro Myalgia/Chronic Fatigue - How do you "get over it"?

yer its what my partner and friend said to @Former-Member, its just im worried that putting my MI's on paper in court documents on a matter that i should not have been brought into has competely shattered my fragile stability i had. ive worked so long to get that and now its fallen apart and im worried about the impact it could have what if the courts decided that my MI is a danger to my son i dont think i could stand him being taken away i rekon i would switch and not come back because i wouldnt want to if he is not there

@Former-Member i dont think they would deem tou an unsafe parent but i can definently see where your coming from. Have you spoken to your psycholoist or tpur solicitor about these concerns at all?
And as cheerbear said I think its an important part of your self care to keep your son home. Its not selfish at all..

@Former-Member
Are you able to just ring your nan and tell her your feelings? Most nans are understanding and can see where tour coming from as well and she might thinks its a good idea to just work part time as well
