The Highlight of Your Day thread

I thought it might be nice to have a place to share the highlight of your day (even if it's found in a fleeting moment) 🙂

For me today, the highlight of my day was finishing the most annoying round of crochet in a blanket I have been working on for months. This round has taken me so long and I've found it so frustrating that I didn't think I would ever finish the project. Stitch by (incredibly frustrating) stitch it came together. Super excited to get to change colours and start the next round now!

Looking forward to hearing anyone else's highlights 🙂

The highlight of my day came in a laugh I had finding some notes between two of mine who are either best friends or want to end each other.

One, who is new to writing words, spent ages on a sorry note including words like "I emm sory" and "bkos".

The other replied with a short "good job at triying to spell propaly"

I'm keeping both notes in a special box somewhere 😄

It's not even mid-day and I've got a highlight to share! I had a productive session with my psychologist today. That's two in a row now. We are finally on a roll...and it only took five months and far too much chaos to get to this point! Next week we are planning an indoor picnic (in her office) to help me make a positive memory for my 40th birthday. We are going to go shopping for BBQ chook and mudcake (with candles!!!) and then have it in her office. Yay, we are finally FINALLY connecting.

@Zoe7 My birthday is on Thursday of next week. It has been a looming issue for quite a few months as it is yet another "big" birthday that I have no-one to celebrate with here in the real world. I am working at putting plans in place so that I don't sink into despair over it. I will have my "party" with (A) on the Tuesday, and I am thinking I might take myself out to a yummy all-you-can-eat place on my actual birthday. It is definitely going to be a challenging time, but I feel a bit better now that I have a fun thing with (A) planned.

Yay this is SO great @Phoenix_Rising 😄 Super happy for you!

My highlight of yesterday was my fish dusting off an old favourite playlist of mine (I forgot to post about it). We listened to Aquarium and Aquarius allll day and this morning I had it on again. While I was wondering how you were getting on with A this morning while I was in the car, 'We Belong to the Sea' came on. Pretty cool 🐳😊🐠

I love that you and A have a picnic planned next week 🙂
