The Highlight of Your Day thread

I thought it might be nice to have a place to share the highlight of your day (even if it's found in a fleeting moment) 🙂

For me today, the highlight of my day was finishing the most annoying round of crochet in a blanket I have been working on for months. This round has taken me so long and I've found it so frustrating that I didn't think I would ever finish the project. Stitch by (incredibly frustrating) stitch it came together. Super excited to get to change colours and start the next round now!

Looking forward to hearing anyone else's highlights 🙂

Ok so 3 likes I'm taking as no one minds if I join in! The highlight of my day was taking on 4 new students at my work who were all super keen to learn and make a difference. I never remember how much I love to teach until I am given nursing students. It really makes me realise how passionate I am about my work and about encouraging younger people to get into dementia care. And this is in the midst of feeling like a potato who just lays on the couch feeling useless and sad. So that's a pretty big achievement for me to feel like this today!

@Former-Member - so glad you have had a fulfilling kind of day. Looks like there will be more ahead of you. It really helps when you feel like you have some purpose in life and have something to look forward to.

Highlight of today was walking on beach with phams worker. We know each other so well after more than a year. There is trust.

The highlight of my day is that I have been contacted by a lecturer from my old uni and asked to do some marking work. This will be a brand new adventure for me and I feel SCARED!!!!! However, I just got off the phone from the lecturer and she is being super nice and supportive about this being my first attempt at marking. It is a fairly small group and I have a couple of weeks to do it so I'm hoping if I just take it slow and steady (as a turtle should!!!) then I will do ok and I might gain more work in this area.

Are you super excited @Former-Member @CherryBomb @CheerBear @Zoe7 @Shaz51 et al.? Shhhhhhhh don't tell any of the students that their work is being marked by an autistic sea turtle floundering in the ocean.
