Welcome and getting started

heyy everyone!

heyy everyone!

hiiii, im an 18 year old female (she/her) from tasmania, with diagnosed bpd and currently being assessed for autism. ive jumped on sane to find other people around my age with bpd, to chat to, relate with etc. i love music, writing it, singing it etc. i love musicals, animals, movies and helping others. ive been strugging with the natural overwhelm of growing up, feeling like my brain is too big and aware for my body and i struggle to find friends my age because of maturity. ive been in dbt therapy for over a year and it's going well, the more i learn more about myself and how my brain works though, the more overwhelming it's all become.

nice to meet you guys, lets chat :))))

Hi @Amethystblue, welcome to the forums! It's great to have you here :)

This community can be such a great place to connect and chat to other people in a safe place.

I hear that it can be difficult to relate to others your age sometimes, but I also hear that you're looking to chat to some people around a similar age, so I just wanted to pop in some extra spaces that have been set up specifically for teens and young adults to connect: Headspace hosts group chats for people under 25 Online communities and Kids Helpline has their own social platform for under 25s called my circle My Circle | Kids Helpline just in case either of these sound interesting for you
