Downwards bipolar crash

I'm on the downward bipolar crash after having of being manic for 4-5 weeks...... it's so far a terrible crash and I can barely function.

@Ayesha, perhaps try to relax into the crying as much as you can. It's okay to cry, no need to block it. Sometimes we can even feel a bit better afterwards. Hoping you might be able to get some sleep soon too.

Re: Downwards bipolar crash

Sick of being up & down & all over the place so I just did the psych central bipolar test and this was the result.
.
YOUR RESULTS
Bipolar disorder - Severe symptoms
Based upon your responses to this bipolar screening test, you appear to be suffering from severe symptoms associated with a bipolar disorder. People who have answered similarly to you typically qualify for a diagnosis of Bipolar I and have sought professional treatment for this disorder.
You appear to have manic episodes. You appear to also suffer from depressive episodes as a part of your disorder.
You should not take this as a diagnosis of any sort, or a recommendation for treatment. However, it would likely be beneficial for you to seek further diagnosis from a trained mental health professional.

Is it really worth seeking help when its gone undiagnosed all these years?
And what's did between #1 & #2?

Re: Downwards bipolar crash

@Twaney before you go believing google I majorly advise you go see a health professional. When most people take those tests they are in a vulnerable mood and there answers are slightly left of field. You may show some of the symptoms to bipolar but a lot of mental health issues that are not bipolar have similar symptoms. Also google ain't a good place to diganouse yourself. So far google has told me I got a failed liver and 4 types of cancer.

So here I am in hospital...... still feeling totally out of my depth though I'm not sure why ( have had many admissions but it's been awhile in between) .

I'm anxious and have nervous energy....... I don't know if I can do this even though I know I couldn't do THAT either.... it just wasn't sustainable the mixed episodes were/are an absolute nightmare

I am shattered

Re: Downwards bipolar crash

My medication is undergoing a complete and utter overhaul. I trust my psychiatrist, really I do.... Perhaps wholeheartedly.... But I'm quietly terrified.

We are simplifying my meds quite a lot but upping the dose significantly.

Starts tonight......I hate the thought of what I'll be like withdrawing off the meds.... I know how irrational I can be to miss just one dose.

Am am feeling scared.

Re: Downwards bipolar crash

Hi @Ayesha, so good to know you are safe in hospital now. You have great strength (even if it doesn't feel like it), to have got through what you did over recent days. Hold on to your trust of your psychiatrist, in getting you through this vulnerable part of your journey. I am here too, sitting with you. Sending hugs and kind wishes. Maz
