Re: Carers under 30...

Just copied from the other thread..

So I went to the drs, it was very draining but at least it is over. We had a talk about the results and its not quite what we had expected. I have actually torn the intercostal muscles (so the muscles between each rib) she says there are 3 different tears in my lower ribs and all grade 2 which isnt to great... I asked her why Ive been sick if its just a pulled muscle. She said because of the extent, and the location it can make people pretty sick and can be extremely painful. It also makes sense as to why even breathing hurts atm and why when sitting for a while or after moving around more it flares back up again.
She said the 2 weeks I took off originally wouldve helped with healing however since ive been back at full capactiy it wouldve retorn it which is why the pain has flared up so much again. So its 3-4 weeks off from a lot of labouring roles and if I do exercise then I need to just take it easy and just keep it short. She said I can keep doing the horses however no heavy lifting etc. then ease back into the more physical jobs. we had a look at the blood tests and the infection markers are high, and she said she isnt sure of the cause, I told her about the trouble ive been having with my tooth and headaches and she said that it sounds like a dental abcess so it might be from that, I asked about the pancreas and she nothing seems to be wrong thats showing on bloods but she doesnt think it would be anything major but will get another ultrasound done in a few months time to see if anything has changed and then talked about how to manage this sprain. Shes given me some stronger pain meds to help cope with the pain levels and headaches as well. So lots to take in today.

Monday is my dental extraction.

Re: Carers under 30...

Bit tired @outlander - in front of computer all day doing extra work. Mr D had appts one day - I had booked us on for an outing earlier that day for his birthday, ended up doing the work after hours that evening - did not get to bed till after 11pm that night.

Hearing you the lack of sleep @Former-Member i disnt sleep the night before and only had 3 hrs last night on and off.
You sound really busy. Do you think youll be able to reduce your workload abit?

Re: Carers under 30...

Yikes @outlander you don't do things by halves. Does this mean we have to avoid rib tickling jokes? Dental abscesses can cause problems, hopefully the extraction will help.

Re: Carers under 30...

It was just an empty bowl @outlander - one not containing any confectionery.
