Carers under 30...

people keep telling me that being a carer isnt a job. they keep saying that becasue im not employed with like a nursing agency that im not really a carer. im employed through centrelink under the carers section.

they are really making me doubt my roles and 'title'

if im employed through centrelink does that mean im not really a carer?

thank you @Former-Member yes that does help for strangers or acquaintences but what about family? there have been a few family members ask me the same thing and give me the same attitude yet when i ask for abit of help they are no where to be found.

i was really sick with both a kidney and chest infection and not one person offerred to give me hand but i couldnt jsut rest when pop needed me. i only needed someone to take him to a specialsit appointment and wait around for an hr or so but no one would do that either yet they say caring isnt a job.

it really upsets me whe people start speaking like that. i dont go around asking why they are on parenting payments and why
