Carers under 30...

Carers under 30...

Hi everyone.
Im just wondering if theres any young carers on here?
Im 20 and would love to have people around this age bracket to talk to.

I love and respect my elders too though 💖

Re: Carers under 30...

One step at a time my pet @Overlander, it becomes easier with practice (i.e. with more hard times that inevitably come our way). Use each step to learn, sometimes it takes time. I am reminded of the saying to never trust my tongue when my heart is bitter. Sometimes I have to take time to mull things otherwise I could get foot in mouth LoL.

See how you ho with the cream little one. Hope it will help.

Re: Carers under 30...

@outlander (not the train) my possum, it is hard not to think of our own hurts; when I feel pain from something, I allow myself a little time to wallow in self pity but not to drown in it, then to pick myself up. Forgiveness is not fair, it is not logical; it is an act of love. I think that it

How do i forgive the things that are negative that keep bombarding me all at once though @Former-Member its never just one or 2 challanges a day i seem to just keep getting more and more and more but no breaks even my holiday was stressful

Re: Carers under 30...

@outlander my possum, there are a few facets to forgiving. I have a great book called 'Forgiveness and other acts of love" I might have to get that out and see if I can give you a few pointers, might take a day or so. I will see too if there are some carer resources I can direct you too, there are times petal when we feel the world is against us and that everything we do goes pear shaped, but there is hope. I had to learn how to become more resilient and better able to cope and it made things easier for me.
I do need to attend to a couple of things here so might need to say good night for now.

Re: Carers under 30...

Hey @outlander Had a look my little one and the book is quite deep and difficult to summarise. It is probably a matter you could bring up with your therapist and they can help you work through these things.
Carers Australia offer perhaps 12 free counseling and perhaps exploring resilience with them might be helpful.
