Elements

Shout out to @SmilingGecko for the link that was the catalyst for this writing. Thanks for the inspiration my dear.😌

Ignis, Terra, Aer, Aqua

Before you stands four pillars.

Combined, they hold the power to define you, scattered, they disperse into the ether

like sparks from a wuthering flame, unbound…unproductive.

Yet, within the whole, they hold ineffable strength, wisdom and clarity...increasingly, in a world which holds less and less value for meaning and depth.

Before you are four keys to doors within these pillars, which you must unlock and enter through, in order to find your way ‘home.’

The first pillar - Ignis…fire.

Your passion, your drive…it forms the foundry of your character - what you stand for, what you believe deeply, what you care most about and will not compromise with. This pillar is like a golden key that unlocks your very essence. It reminds you of who you really are, stripped bare, at your core. Find this key and you will unlock your inner fire.

The second pillar - Terra, is Earth.

Your care for others and the world around you. Most importantly, especially when overwhelmed, your care of yourself and your own wellbeing. You cannot faithfully care for others when your own emotions, your own nature is depleted. Rest and recuperation must balance hard work and dedication, lest you suffer in the mists of confusion and exhaustion. Your authentic self, without filter, without mask is what you should seek in your private moments. Remember, the mirror reflects both outward and inward.

The third pillar - Aer, refers to Air.

Your ideas, your creativity, the very life you breathe into what you believe to be most important…this forms the third key. What lights you up and ignites your truest joy? Where do you feel most free, most alive? As we age, most of us slow, become set and rigid. Yet life is not this way…life evolves over time, it seeks growth, it cycles through change. Life and everything you see is in a constant state of motion. It is complex and beautiful, yet in concept, simple. Unlock the door to this corridor and find your inner youth once more, and unlock your true spirit.

The fourth and final pillar is Aqua..Water.

Life is largely about the balance of forces. Yes, we must ignite our inner fire! Yes, we must remain grounded and whole within ourselves. Yes, we need to find our true, unfiltered self, free from the masks and filters the world demands of us. Yet, we must also maintain a certain caution, lest we be led astray by forces not in our best interest. In a very real sense, water surrounds us as a part of life too. It is in the very air we breathe, and makes up at least 60 percent of our bodies. It is in us, of us, and with us, but mostly unseen by us. There is a hidden power to water we do not yet fully understand. We do know that it responds to us emotionally, and that our intentions influence the water around us. Without water, we cannot survive, so it is vital to maintain our lifeforce emotionally, mentally, spiritually and physically.

The secret to life lies not at the extremes where most look, but in the middle…in the balance of things. Nosce te ipsum: Know thyself.

Re: Elements

Glad you found a workaround @Icaruslanded but it is annoying to have to do several steps to ensure you don't lose a post!!

Fingers crossed that will change for us in the future :)

Hope you're having a fine Wednesday eve!

Re: Elements

Hey @Icaruslanded I just read your post. Yes wrote a longer post and then thought upon reflection some people may not be interested in it anyway. But am working towards balancing my elements! I found an audio off you tube that does it and you can really feel some integration going on energy-wise compared to using seeing, sensing and feeling combined with pore breathing. I'll see how I go. But I felt a lot better afterwards

Re: Elements

@Icaruslanded what have you been doing today? It was a full moon after midnight last night so I put my crystals out to moonbake. Have been going through my First Aid kit and thinking of adding more items. Am a bit worried about this summer based on what we are seeing in France plus all kinds of natural disasters we are seeing around the world. I bought some special medical powder (cant name it due to guidelines) for pouring into deep open wounds a few years ago and it came in handy after I sustained a 10cm cut. Its used in ED departments in the USA. I learned about it from someone into preparedness who had a father who was a doctor. I was really lucky to have it as the wound would not stop. Anyway today saw some more suggestions for preparedness. I have quite a moderate sized first aid kit. You can get tactical tourniquets used by the US military, Israeli bandages, eye care kits if you get dust, smoke or debris in your eyes, magnifying glasses and headgear lamps to wear on your head if you want to pull splinters out in the dark etc and salves for minor burns, water purification fluid if the water supply is contaminated as well as trauma shears paramedics use to cut clothing. I'm just looking into buying a bit extra for my kit next week when I get paid my pension. Then I will be covered. I follow a commentator who is into geopolitics and used to receive e-mails from a woman who was into preparedness. Not many people do preparedness here because we have typically lived in a fortunate country and all the chaos usually happens overseas. If you want the link to the additional itemised First Aid kit things I saw today you can assemble yourself just ask

@SmilingGecko

Hey good morning to you! That sounds wise with the first aid kits, always smart to be prepared. It has reminded me to get mine in order - I regularly try to have a clean up and get rid of expired medications as well as make sure I have some basic supplies on hand. Fortunately, I live quite high up, so floods are covered!

I put my crystals out a few nights ago - a couple of larger ones I used in the past when I did some house clearing (removing negative energies) a few years ago. I sometimes wash them too, only the non-friable ones of course!

That's a pain with the open wounds, you poor thing - must make life difficult. The pension makes life pretty tight, I know, having to save up and delay is frustrating to say the least. I got a bit of a pleasant surprise yesterday in that I am able to get a couple of expenses reimbursed, so that will help.

Sorry for the delay in reply, by the way, I went to bed very early last night, just got up for a little bit.

Hi @SmilingGecko

I'm sorry I only just saw this, as I've been away from the forums for a few days

It looks like you've been supported with this already though, which I'm glad to see 😊

I hope you're doing well and have been having a good week!

Re: Elements

Yes thanks for that @Nala2022 if I do a longer post in future will know what to do! Wishing you a quiet and restful weekend. Its 7 degrees this morning I put on my Oodie which is a thermal fleece thingy I got from the Salvos offseason for 50% off. Its been a wonderful investment to keep heating costs down and to stay warm. Its oversized so anyone can wear it but it keeps you warm as toast. I heard lots of people stuck at home during the pandemic lounging around got one. They are warmer than thermals and jumpers combined!

Re: Elements

Thank you, I hope you have a lovely weekend too @SmilingGecko 😊

Oh, I have one too! They are honestly the best on those really cold days, so warm and cosy 😄

I’m glad you found one, especially at such a good price. Definitely a great investment for keeping warm and saving on heating costs!

Re: Elements

Yes @Nala2022 lots of people seem to have them. They took off during the pandemic with people stuck at home. I was a late adopter as I dont watch TV. The only problem is the company has been flagged as being an environmental polluter with the microplastics in the Oodie. I did not know this. Have only washed it twice over last summer to get it ready for winter use. Am looking to get a microplastics device for my washing machine so microplastics dont get leeched into the waterways from the Oodie. But yes they really are beautifully snug and warm to wear especially if you cant afford heating

Re: Elements

I didn't know that either @SmilingGecko. Thanks for sharing. It sounds like you've put a lot of thought into finding a way to reduce the impact, which is great

They really are so cosy though, especially on these cold mornings!

I hope you enjoy your day today 😊
