Forums Fixes Update - Friday 17 July
Dear Forumites,
The SANE Forums Technical team are planning another deployment tomorrow morning to update the Forums. There may be some disruption to access for about 15 minutes between 9am and 9:30am. The deployment will include the following updates.
Editing Favourites
- Members had reported they were unable to unfavourite or favourite some threads and posts. The deployment resolves this issue.
Subscribing
- Members had reported issues with subscribing to discussions and spaces, including receiving error messages when trying to unsubscribe from a discussion.
- The deployment will contain a fix to subscribing to discussions.
- NOTE: the ability to subscribe to a space has been disabled for the short term. We are looking at re-enabling this in a future release.
Display of Discussions in User Profiles
- We've improved how users with a large amount of Discussions see these on their profile page.
- The previous deployment was only showed the most recent discussions.
- These will now show with pagination (showing 10 per page by default), giving the user access to all their discussions.
- NOTE: The full user profile page has not yet been re-enabled. We are hopeful of being able to re-enable this next week.
Other Updates
- Updated Support cards to show the post author's name, rank, profile picture, and profile link.
Once again, thank you for your patience while we continue to improve the stability and functionality of the new forums platform. Most of the post deployment issues have now been resolved, although we're aware of some minor issues and requested enhancements. We will continue to make updates to the platform to incorporate these over the coming weeks. Of course, if you encounter any issues or have any suggestions for enhancements, continue to submit them via https://www.sane.org/technical-feedback.
