Something’s not right

taking a break

taking a break

Hi Everyone

Ive come to the decision that i may need to take a break from the forums or at least just stick to my safe threads such as this one and my garden thread.

ive read quite a few confronting things on here, it not the people, its the stories of what theyve been though, its set off quite a few things for me and just reminds me of what a tragic world we live in.

i know there is great support on here but i dont think i can handle it at the moment. im at the stage where i think a hospital might be better for me to go to. i know mant of you have been or go to the there still so no matter how embarrassed i am about being young and having to go to get thigns sorted out, i know ive got plenty of butterflies flying around me.

if only i had supports off this forum but i think i need a break. i dont think i can help many people as much as id love to and i feel extremely bad for not being able to help but i guess i just need to limit abit more of what im doing.

as most of you know uve been through a fair bit and still going through it all and alot of things im dealing with on my own.

i dont know what to do anymore, it feel likes i cant trust anyone anymore, ive lost hope for quite alot of things including my mental health gettitng better and even at this point questioning it so much that i dont even know if its real now. i think id rather just hide away.

i havent been able to leave the house today and even said no to a ride on my horse and to me thats alarms bells ringing. so i think i just need to take a break and although everyone on here id the best and the only support i have so, its a probaby a stupid mvoe to make but i thing i just need to refresh myself and force myself to get up and do something and start trying to get my life straightened out abit.

starting with either going to hospital or getting in to see a therapist abit more to help me out abit more.

this isnt goodbye, i may still see you on here on my safe threads but i wont be around as much, while im not here ill be focussing on getting abit more help, working on my garden and my studies.

i hope you all understand

Re: taking a break

Hi @Former-Member

We are all at different points - we all want or need to move forward - we all get stuck - we all have feelings and sometimes need reassurance about them or the lack of them - whatever -

And we are all at different points in our own story

Atm I am getting though these glorious autumn days in Melbourne knowing that winter is coming and I will be in here all the time because I will reach the hard times of my year and know I need people more -

But this is what I think about our journeys - we all go up and down - because there are hills in life - and sudden corners. Sometimes we find that we are in a place where the traffic rules are different and we nearly get knocked over by something we did not expect - and we have the good patches and the rough patches and places that are really ordinary and other places where it is strange and scary

But through all of the good parts and the bad parts we still need to check in and ask if this is the right place - and I forget who said it but maybe it's not a good idea to ask all the time because - imo - we might get confused with too many different answers about what is the right way to feel because there is no right way to feel

So keep battling on little pre-butterfly - life isn't easy but it's life -

I don't know your story yet but I will learn it - keep writing - keep in touch

Re: taking a break

Thank you @Owlunar and thank you for your perspective of things
Yes life is quite hard but maybe one day ill turn into that butterfly and learn to fly.
Ive learnt now that this plan is important to keep myself and other members of the forum comfortable about being on here. So ive been implementing that.
Thank you again @Owlunar ❤❤❤

Re: taking a break

Thanks @CheerBear

It seems as if a lot of new people have come into the forum lately - so I would like to welcome you Cheer - and thanks for your thoughts

And @Former-Member

Just a thought on becoming a butterfly after being a caterpillar - caterpillars are fine - and being a caterpillar is the longest part of the life of a caterpiller to becoming a butterfly - and for a time a caterpillar takes a long break as a cocoon - before the short and beautiful butterfly state

Of course - the the caterpillar/butterfly - it might seem as if the life of the butterfly is longer and more wonderful and I am sure - totally worth the effort

My point - my life has been hard - but of recent years more beautiful - but I am sure I appreciate everything better in the later years of my life because of the hard parts earlier

As a bereaved parent I know the logo of the Commpassionate Friends - the Bereaved Parents Assocation - is a butterfly - signifying the return to life - in a totally different state and I like the symbolism - not just for one reason - but for my own life as I went through a terrible time and came out on the other side

I am sure that life would never seemed so beautiful if I had not been a caterpillar for a while - in the past

Work toward your butterfly state - I like what you chose for you avatar - it shows a lot of promise
