Re: Weekend Coffee Chat 11th July

Hi @SmilingGecko wow, not heard of either of those. They sound fascinating. I tend to use lode stones and mochi ballls with certain things I do for people. I will check these ones out further. Crystals are amazing aren't they?

Re: Weekend Coffee Chat 11th July

Hi @Cuddlebear that is an interesting question. I would imagine yes they would still be of some benefit, primarily because sound is still a frequency and a vibration, and there are a number of bone conduction headsets available now, often pretty reasonable in price now (bone conduction earphones sit outside the ear - had some myself a while back and they produce a decend sound but let you maintain situational awareness at the same time, which is why they were first used by the military). Anything below 20 Hz we tend to feel rather than hear directly (its the low rumble you experience with an explosion or an avalanche on screen, for example). Sorry to hear you experience deafness though, it makes things somewhat isolating I know (I get some tinnitus myself having played drums for so long and it can be very annoying and gets worse when stressed - mine is like a high-pitched whistle). Stay warm my friend, its cooooooold out there in the mornings at the moment - a nice chilly 2 degrees for me this morning walking to work. And yes, it went well thank you, great couple of people to work with today and for the next few weeks.

Re: Weekend Coffee Chat 11th July

@Icaruslanded I did not know lodestone was called magnetite. I have magnetite. Have come across mochi balls or shaman stones before but never bought them. I checked them out and wondered how you use them with people. Had a friend who was a geophysicist and used to mine crystals. She had a kundalini awakening at uni after taking home a huge piece of tektite from her lecturer. She was never the same after that...

Re: Weekend Coffee Chat 11th July

@Icaruslanded Hello friend how are you? I hope work goes well.

I did try some last night. It was Ok it was good to have some soubd come through. I’m not sure if it works in same way for me but either way it’s something I can do at night. For some reason my nervous system and current poor mental health really stops me from doing anything during the day. Even music.

im sorry you get tinnitus it’s a really hard one. Having it there and not being able to do much to make it stop. yes I’m deaf and legally blind. It’s a hard thing to have in combination.

Re: Weekend Coffee Chat 11th July

@DogMan79 Hello my friend. How are you? Yes my audiologist just do the frequency graphs. I have a profound hearing loss and to be honest I’d find it hard if not impossible to really understand and align those frequencies. I actually qualify for a cochlear however have chosen not to get one. This is because I’m in my 50’s now and am used to how I am. I’d prefer to just be like this and not risk having to maintain a cochlear implant. I also have peripheral artery disease so surgeries are risky for me and I already have had a lot of surgeries due to this disease. Are you having a good week? Thank you for the suggestion it was a good one.

Re: Weekend Coffee Chat 11th July

@Cuddlebear hey there my friend! Wow that's difficult being both deaf and legally blind (is there such a thing as illegally blind?🥳). I hope you have a good support network behind you to make it easier.

Glad you tried the sounds last night. They take time to work fully but they do. Check out some of the bone conduction headsets at JBHIFI they have quite a range and many are reasonable prices and decent quality. KMart have their ANKO branded ones and they are very inexpensive. Bone conduction means the sound is transmitted through your mastoid bone in front of the ear. They work on vibration.

Re: Weekend Coffee Chat 11th July

@SmilingGecko Yes one and the same! I have used them to locate lost items for people around the world. Using mochi balls I have located people, eye glasses, sunglasses and also a ruby ring psychically for friends, in America and in Australia. I rub them against each other in my palm (one female and one male - they are found in pairs) and then then images come through to me within a few seconds.

Re: Weekend Coffee Chat 11th July

@Icaruslanded I attended a astrologers meeting here in Melbourne once when I first got into astrology and you can cast horary charts for finding lost objects. They put up charts and asked the astrology students to locate missing items including lost animals. It was accurate if you knew where to look on the chart and how to analyse it.

Re: Weekend Coffee Chat 11th July

@Cuddlebear my mum was deaf

Progressive hearing loss. Apparently by the time she died, she was down to 10% in one ear

She received a BAHA implant in 2010. She rarely clipped on the processor. So it was mostly pointless

She never learnt sign language. She was born in the early 50s near a state border. AUSLAN wasn't yet nationalised. So if she walked 5 miles over the Murray, it was a different dialect of sign language
