@Dimity I can’t see the picture yet. Hopefully a moderator approves it soon.

Yes it would be nice to have something anything lift my spirits. And I wish the same for you to be feeling good and happy.

Re: Weekend Coffee Chat 11th July

Hey @Cuddlebear, sorry to hear you have sleep problems. Have you tried sound therapy? Certain sound frequencies can really help with sleep problems - 432 Hz works well, as does 528 Hz (plenty to choose from on Spotify or Youtube. Magnesium also helps. I have a neighbour who was having sleep difficulties, particularly night terrors. I know a lot about crystals and have quite a few of my own. I gave her a piece of selenite for remembering dreams and a larger piece of Obsidian to help with the night terrors. She reports the night terrors have stopped and she sleeps a lot better (I have just come back from her place actually, gave her a little pressie as a thank you for helping me a week ago).

I wrote an article some weeks ago about a particular set of sound frequencies which can help with a range of issues. They are known as Solfeggio tones/frequencies, originally six of them (they were discovered in the tenth Century by a Gregorian monk and used in prayer), but in the 1970's another three were discovered, completing the musical circle. Depending on the problem, different frequencies can help tremendously over time: This is a brief list from memory for you:

  • 174Hz - pain and tension relief
  • 285 Hz - tissue repair
  • 396 Hz - helps with trauma release
  • 417 Hz - helps remove negative thinking and developing a positive mindset
  • 528 Hz - Miracle/love frequence, also for a good night's sleep
  • 639 Hz - Helps heal damaged relationships and create harmonious ones
  • 741 Hz - Removes toxins and poisons from the body
  • 852 Hz - Helps you enhance your intuitive abilities
  • 963 Hz - Higher consciousness/the "God" frequency

These are very brief outlines, they do other things as well. I would check them out on Youtube - best played with headphones, ideally as you sleep or during the day. Also, although not a Solfeggio frequency, songs tuned to 432 Hz promotes a sense of inner peace and happiness. Unfortunately, in 1939, the standard tuning for western music was changed from this standard to 440 Hz, which goes against nature (432 is a multiple of the Earth's own resonance - the Shumann Resonance of 7.83 Hz, or approximately 8 Hz), whereas 440 Hz is not and is known to promote anger...says a lot about our society and the ways we are manipulated without knowing hey. Anyway, check them out. One very reliable source on Youtube would be Meditative Mind. Enjoy:)

@Icaruslanded @Cuddlebear have you met @SmilingGecko who is also very knowledgeable about crystals and solfeggio tones. I'm agnostic about them.

Re: Weekend Coffee Chat 11th July

Baroque tunings changed 2 or 3 centuries ago @Icaruslanded so it's hard to know what's "traditional" or "natural". Do tunings vary in different cultures?

Re: Weekend Coffee Chat 11th July

@Dimity thanks for telling me that, I will say hello to @SmilingGecko! I have loved crystals for a long time, let's just say I have some extra-sensory abilities and I find crystals enormously helpful in this regard. Solfeggio and other sound frequencies are actually linked to crystals, as well as colours too. I find crystals very useful when meditating and also in lucid dreaming as well. Hope you are well and thank you again for introducing me.

Re: Weekend Coffee Chat 11th July

@Dimity yes you are correct. In fact, standard tunings varied right up to 450 Hz and ostensibly the change to 440 Hz was to make it easier. I have other beliefs about it, since music is vibration and is based on math. And to answer your question, there are different ones in different cultures. I also have studied Cymatics for some years now (how sound affects matter) and it is remarkable how everything is connected, although at a level below our normal awareness. Certain materials subjected to pure tones instantly form geometric patterns, which build in complexity the higher the tone. Interesting parallel with crop circle patterns too when you research them (I believe they are the result of infrasound myself, although this is yet to be proven). Interestingly water crystals are also known to hold intentions based on reseach - beautiful patterns form with positive intentions, ugly and chaotic with negative intentions. Interesting hey?

Re: Weekend Coffee Chat 11th July

Hello @Icaruslanded yes i love crystals and solfeggios and use them like you do! My favorite crystals would have to be cintamani stones and bian stones. They only mine a very small quantity of cintamani each year and they are hard to source. They are the wish fulfilling stone believed to be seen in religious pictures with buddha and christ. They arent particularly an appealing looking stone but are really big in the UFO community. Bian stones were used in traditional chinese medicine predating acupuncture. I use a bian stone to dredge my meridians to align them to obtain harmony and energetic balance. Its as good as having acupuncture so being on a low income means I can obtain the benefits of regular acupuncture without having to pay hundreds of dollars for multiple sessions with a doctor of chinese medicine. The cost of seeing acupuncturists can be so prohibitive on a pension but bians work a treat.

Re: Weekend Coffee Chat 11th July

@dimity @Icaruslanded and with musicians often tuning by ear, lots of music is naturally microtonal

It might be "Standard tuning" as relative to each string. But guitars often have E string tuned slightly flat or sharp. Just because not everyone has or traditionally had a tuner

Add in a fretless bass and lots of it is microtones, without the gimmicks of the modern trend like below

Re: Weekend Coffee Chat 11th July

@Icaruslanded Hello friend how are you? Was it you that mentioned you’d be at work today? If so I hope it is a good day.

I have tried some of the frequency stuff. Unfortunateky I’m deaf and wonder if that affects how I hear the frequencies. Lately I’ve been unable to even listen to any music. But honestly wondering in my deafness affects the type of benefits the frequency music can have?

Re: Weekend Coffee Chat 11th July

@cuddlebear does your audiologist give you graphs for what frequencies are most effected? Generally modern hearing tests plot what frequencies you hear and what you don't. And hearing devices are tailored to suit

You could cross reference it to things like the safe and sound protocol frequencies
