No Change

No Change

I log on hoping things have changed but they still haven't. I still cannot read or chat in any thread. Doesn't matter if its new, old, mine.

Yes I've reported a technical issue, no I haven't heard back

Don't think I'm being rude, but no I cannot respond to you on here. Can only read it if I'm logged out.

Like a lot of others, being on here is a struggle. A once safe place doesn't feel that way anymore.

I've been trying to keep some hope but there's not much left.

Yes I've tried to do the right thing and reached out elsewhere for help.

Re: No Change

Good morning @Chasingsunsets

I am on meds too, some for quite awhile now that my pdoc prescribes. I often wonder if it's the right mix, do I really need them. It feels like I have been on them for so long now. I guess I have to put my trust in my pdoc knowing he knows what he is doing.

Hope you got some sleep last night after your walk.

Yesterday was ok for me. Spent most of the day washing/cleaning. At least the house looks better.

I think you said that you are working all week. Hope it's going well.

Re: No Change

I hear you @Snowie,

I am curious to know what control looks like for you right now?

And could you also be needing to integrate compassion?

When is your next therapy session? 🥰

Re: No Change

Hey @Chasingsunsets so sorry I haven’t replied to your last post until now, have been finding things rather challenging the last few days.

we start the long journey home tomorrow night. I think it’s ok to be in 2 mindset about it. Very sad that I’ll be leaving my brother behind, unsure when I will see him next. But very much looking forward to my own space again and doing my stuff.

went today to the local member of parliament to advocate for a heat pump for my brother. The housing service his unit is through were refusing to do it despite putting new ones in 4 of the other 6 units. Told us a whole heaps of lies and excuses. Don’t know if our visit to the member of parliament or all of mums phone calls the last week and threatening to go to the member of parliament, but a few hours later the housing service called to say they were ‘going to go out of their way’ to put one in. So that was a win! Then we have spent a few hours cleaning and giving my brothers place a good tidy.

how are you traveling? You doing ok?

Re: No Change

Hi @Snowie sorry for my big delay 😜. How are you going? Ah yes I am the same re meds it’s been a real battle for me actually just wondering if it’s the right regime for me. In some aspects better and some worse so it’s been a lot to think about. I’m glad you can trust your p- doc. How’s your mum going?

Re: No Change

Hey @Bow! you must be back home by now? How were your travels back? How are you going? I am sure it would have been very sad to leave your brother but hope you can go visit another time soon 😊.

Well done on advocating and getting the heat pump for your brother. I am sure you are exhausted now from your holiday and all the petitioning for that heat pump. But a good win for sure. Good on you ☀️

I have been better but that’s ok just got to ride it out I guess, how long this will be I don’t know. But it’s lasted longer than normal so that’s the only observation I have. Such as life though, right. Lovely connecting 🙏

Re: No Change

No need to be sorry @Chasingsunsets Sometimes things take over.

I'm ok

It's hard with the meds. The withdrawals, waiting for the new ones to kick in, is it the right combination. Very difficult.

Mum's ok, had a bad morning but finally smoothed things over. She's just very demanding in many ways.

How are you going?

Re: No Change

Hey @Chasingsunsets yep got home on Saturday. I spent Sunday in my pjs on the couch or in bed. I was super exhausted.

Overnight on the spirit was horrible, not cause of the seas but just that I didn’t sleep much at all. I was worried about the 500km drive ahead of me but I got some caffeine into me and I survived. Made it to Albury in time to check out a secondhand bookshop and scored myself a 1899 print of Alice in wonderland! I carefully put her in a plastic sleeve and into my book cabinet today. The rest of the drive was ok. Was just very glad to fall into my own bed on Saturday night. Oh my gosh it was good!

yes it’s hard leaving my brother. I’m not sure when we will get down there next. My mum will go down sooner. And I ain’t driving next time!

bit rough since being home. Introduced to another SW yesterday. My current one is sick, off work a lot, so apparently this new one is to fill the gap, but my current one is suppose to be moving to a new office next month so will this new one be my next full time one? So I kinda have 3 at the moment. My old one, current? And new? What an absolute mess!!!

ED thoughts are very loud and it’s hard to ignore them. I also had an appointment with another new pdoc today. I was very anxious about it. Another new person. But she was amazing.

thank you- heard today that my brothers heat pump will be installed by the end of the week. He is very happy!

sorry it’s been rough traveling for you. Your right sometimes all we can do it just ride it out- but that doesn’t make it any easier. Are there particular things that help you get through the day? How long do these last for you?

yea yes been so nice connecting

Re: No Change

You’re not wrong @Snowie always lots to juggle right. I’ve always been on high alert with all this, but I guess it’s just part of it hey.

Sorry to hear about your mum, I hear you re getting demanding puts more pressure on you. Glad it smoothed out.

yeah I am ok. Tired and ready for bed actually but I’ll be awake for a little while yet. What’s on for your week

Re: No Change

Wow @Bow you had a mission to get back and a big drive back! What a score getting the Alice in wonderland print that is so cool!! I bet you are happy with that!

Ah I hear the changes of your health workers has been a bit tough. I hope the new one goes alright. When do you see them next? I hear the ED thoughts are loud, how’s was your new p- doc?

Thats great news about the heat pump being installed this week.

Thats a great question re what helps get me through. I often feel I don’t have a lot of skills or “things” in my tool box after all this time. But sleep does help me but that’s also a fine balance as too much makes me worse or needing more can be a sign things aren’t going well. Walks in nature do help too. Hmm normally lasts a couple of days, up and down like a yo-yo at times. Too many factors in the mix to know what causes what so hard to work it all out etc. Ive been worse so I’ll take where I am over worse I guess 😊
