Hello

Hello @Shaz51 @Naturelover @ChasingSunsets @TAB @MissGremlin and everyone. Sorry I can't remember a lot of usernames and I'm not sure notifications are working.

Sending greetings and commiserations. My account has had some bugs - still does - but I'd like to share group 🫂 hugs

Re: Hello

Thanks so much @Ru-bee! Hope you are having a good day. Wasn’t sure if it was accidentally missed as the 2nd pic was approved which was why I just wanted to check in 😊.

I’m interested if anyone your end received the Mod tag and if not, if jt was a planned change or if it’s a glitch. Def wasn’t tagged as a ‘hurry up’ just as a curious check in if it was accidentally missed ☺️. Interested to know re tag. Thanks again for your post very much appreciated 🫶

Re: Hello

Thanks @Ru-bee @Chasingsunsets I can see the kookie now.

Glad the birds are obliging enough to pose for pics on stag trees!

Re: Hello

Yeah @Dimity the 2 in the silhouette pic are the fig birds at first I thought I was looking at a butcher bird when the first fig bird appeared as he was fluffed up but you can see his colours just in this pic 😊.

kookaburra pic should be up now thanks again @Ru-bee ☀️

Oh magpie larks they like to swoop Indi 🤣. Hehe the dollar birds, like your jokes. They are migratory and been gone for a couple of months! Love their colours inside there wings!! From a far they just look like a black bird bigger than a drongo and not as big as a crow. Haha before I knew what they were I was so confused at what I was looking at lol.

Aw your her special friend now dimity, we have a couple of dodgy mates on our walks some nice 🤣🙊 one little of sticks it head out for a pat and I have to tell her no barking and she listens and wags her tail when she knows it is coming along 🤣. Would you volunteer anywhere I know some places you can just volunteer to pat animals and stuff so they have company, animals are so good, even if we don’t have our own, just out the door the birds and your cute Staffy neighbour 🐶.

Hows your ckcs @Ru-bee 🐶, maybe toby not sure if I have that right, just have that in my head! Apologies that his name escapes me if it’s wrong 🤪

Ah yeah up and down like a yo-yo @Dimity always focusing on trying to find some inner stability I guess these days. Seems like it’s cyclical in nature but no real idea. How are you going? I partially tore 2 ligaments in my ankle a couple of weeks ago which was so annoying but getting better just last thing I needed as I like my walks 😅

Re: Hello

That's a bit of a bummer re your ankle @Chasingsunsets, glad you're recuperating. Ligaments can take a while to heal so maybe pace yourself.

I'm ok ta, been nqr for a while but plugging on. Not sure there's animal shelters nearby on public transport but I'll ponder upon it, thanks for suggesting it.

First pic of a dollarbird I saw after googling reminded me of a big starling.

Nice and sunny here for my walk to the shops. Have a great afternoon - anything planned?

Just lost my post @Dimity just rewriting

Re: Hello

Will just simplify this one @Dimity 😜.

I guess on the bright side life decided to test out my good ankle so hopefully even up the imbalance on my weaker side. Love getting more exercises lol this time for my ankle 😜. Ah well least it’s not worse, and at least definitely not as bad as my last ankle injury. Good not to be on crutches anymore but it didn’t really stop me still went on walks but couldn’t go as far and not able to get on the sand yet 🤪.

i wonder what you are noticing re things nqr, any little things that come up that you’d like to work on? I really have to find out where my motivation and drive went, just have to work out what I do to improve it or work on it. Challenging without those two things 😜.

Oh I love a nice day for a walk! I wonder what you’ll see while you are out and about. It’s an ok day here there is a breeze. Put a load of washing on just waiting for it to be done, that’s all I have done but normally I’d be doing so much more so a bit disheartened quietly but that’s ok, all fine 😊.

heres some pics of the 💵 bird, from last year I think or earlier this year. It would be better if I had a bigger zoom 🙈

Re: Hello

Love how you've captured the $ spots @Chasingsunsets . Really striking.

Poor you, crutches while walking Indi pup wouldn't have been easy. I'm impressed you're so philosophical about it but can understand how disheartening it is on top of everything else. You deserve a holiday from pushing yourself too hard... the motivation and drive can wait for a bit.

I could do with more motivation and drive myself plus less brainfog. But feel there's been a bit more going on than just mh. I've been nqr a while.

Re: Hello

evening @Dimity, yes you can imagine my surprise when I realised they weren’t just black birds in the distance. Lol. They are a bit of a funny bird to look at when they are just chilling and you can’t see their colours. Glad you like the pics 💸🤑 lol.

On highlights do you think they might be native bees? I’ll have to go back there one time but they would probably have moved on for better pics. The pic doesn’t really show some of them flying but you might be able to zoom in and see some. I’m not sure, they looked like they were buzzing around tree sap!

Interestingly I think the motivation and drive are my key things, if I don’t have these I find it incredibly hard to operate. Haven’t had these two pieces in so long maybe it’s why things have felt up hill? Just thinking out a loud. I hear you on the brain fog. I hear you say more going on than mh and feeling nqk for a long time, what are you ideas about what’s making you feel this way?

I’ll have to think of a good story re my ankle shh cos I just fell down a step lol, I go up and down it 50 times a day 🤭. Indi was thinking what the af mum seriously 🤣 a horizontal 180° in the air quite the dance move lol. When walking her she would check back in often wondering what was taking me so long 😆 when on crutches, sometimes wanting to heel inside the left 🩼 🤭. She has been awesome. Quite protective if I sit down on the ground. Chairs or standing fine but it’s interesting watching her. Once didn’t even see a little dog coming as I was lying on the ground on a towel and she cut across me and protected the front of me as I was on my stomach. Told her the dog would be fine and then she was fine other than caring about her stick she thought the dog wanted after 🤣. She’s all talk cannot fight at all lived with cats and chickens and two small dogs before. However very very loyal. Couple more stories there but I’ll leave it at that hehe.

Lovely connecting and hope you had a good night 😊. What’s on for your weekend?

Re: Hello

Indi is such a good girl looking out for her mum @Chasingsunsets . When I did an ankle ligament first time was going out the front doorstep at my parents', second time I just rolled my ankle walking between two worksites. Easily done. The doorstep one was pretty spectacular (I had an audience).

Yes drive and motivation are hard to come by, I try to get by with dogged persistence and challenging myself but too often revert to procrastination. Depression and maladaptive schemas from cptsd if I rationalise it but need to just do stuff. Might have had high potassium lately, needs to be checked again to confirm, but might explain a few things. I use a mood/activity tracker app, find it helps (current shrink says I'm bipolar). When I've been sidelined I try to start again, that's what I mean by persistence. I've just been in survival mode a long time, and need to shift gear and do more.

Hope you graduate from strapping and crutches soon. And that the extra load on your weak side hasn't been too bad.

I'm tossing up between walking now, or later after more chores. Cuppa time first. What are your plans?

Re: Hello

@Chasingsunsets There's a native bees group on Facebook. I don't know much about them but people post photos and some turn out to be flies or wasps.

I read African tulip trees are deadly to native bees so some botanic gardens are taking them out.

Looks like I'll have musk lorikeets around a while longer, the ironbark over the road is flowering.
