@MissGremlin - it all started when I was 18 take in mind I’m only 25 now.
I started off with Wolff Parkinson white syndrome which is Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome is a heart condition in which a person is born with an extra electrical pathway between the upper chambers (atria) and lower chambers (ventricles) of the heart. This extra pathway can allow electrical signals to bypass the heart’s normal conduction system, leading to episodes of a very fast heart rate (tachycardia).
so I went to a cardiologist for it, we tried medications and I was still having high heart rates, I was in and out of hospital a lot with heart rates of 200 and over, not being able to breathe with the extreme heart rates. Ended up having a cardiac ablation during covid lockdown in 2021 which was really scary because there was so many risks to it, but I made it out, they ablated 1 extra electrical pathway but the other one was way too close to my heart chambers and artery. I ended up having a code blue because I had a heart rate of 215bpm when I woke up in recovery, which was scary for mum and me because she got kicked out of the room because they needed to give me IV fluids & make sure I didn’t crash on them. But I made it through, another 6 hours though in the hospital which I wasn’t impressed about.
went back to the cardiologist because I was still struggling with my heart rate and all of that had the holter monitor, echocardiogram, ecgs and I had a whole heap of more tests and I ended up with inappropriate sinus tachycardia & POTS, still am struggling with it because I’m still not on the right medication but I am now on blood pressure medication because my blood pressure is low and when I go from sitting to standing my blood pressure just drops and heart rate goes up which is really horrible feeling. But my blood pressure & heart are now on medication which will be with me for the rest of my life but it’s still not the right medication which is really annoying.
so there’s my storytime
