Feeling not so great

Feeling not so great

Feeling lost and confused, just wanna feel alright I want things to be the way they used to be. I keep getting let down by ndis support workers aswell and it’s breaking me. I’ve been to ER twice this week and I was trying so hard not to go.

changes are just triggering all together. It’s just hard. But still going with my coping skills.

am safe

Re: Feeling not so great

All good @MissGremlin google search tells me legally the results and interpretations can be provided to me upon written request. Reaching out to anyone who might have life experience as I know Google search info isn’t always correct.

Im feeling bit better within myself today, head feeling a lot clearer, thoughts coming back to level ground and not feeling anywhere as distressed, emotional and teary as last 2 days. FB memory that came up yesterday was so emotionally difficult to watch. Video of a very sweet natured, loving young cat who I had for about 5mths, a time that overlapped when my husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I returned her to her foster parents as, my husband being in and out of hospital, was being too upsetting for her. I love my current 2 and would be lost without them but nothing will ever fill the void that giving up my Mia caused.

this morning I’ve been getting little bits of reminders of times earlier this year where my psychologist didn’t do as she said she would. Approx March or April she offered to write letter to my psychiatrist and said she would have draft letter for me to read at next appointment. Subsequent appointments she never mentioned the letter or said she hadn’t had the time to work on it. First appointment with psychiatrist was mid June, psychiatrist said she had received letter from my psychologist. I’m still waiting to know what was in the letter. At this stage, I’m tempted to ask my psychiatrist during our next appointment which is early December.

far too many red flags by now with this psychologist. I’ve been thinking back to post from Nala about sending email prior to next appointment with psychologist. I was going to wait until end of the appointment before asking why my requests for info etc have not happened. Im now wondering if I send email to the psychology group she works at (with cc to the business manager) providing brief time since February and formally asking to 1) have results and interpretations from online questionnaires emailed to me. 2) have list of online tools and websites I can read where I can find answers to the items I mentioned in February. 3) to have appointment for next month cancelled. 4)advising I am ceasing to use their business effective immediately

I have a regular 3mthly appointment with my local GP, next appointment is tomorrow. I’m thinking of trying to discuss the situation with my GP. I say try as will depend on how rushed she is with me

Re: Feeling not so great

@Flutterbug9 I'm glad you were able to find an answer on Google but understand that it's not always accurate.

I'm glad that you're feeling a bit better within yourself today and the your head is feeling clearer. I can understand how that memory would be upsetting and I know nothing can fill that void but I'm glad that you have the 2 you do now. Today's a sad day for me as the memory came up of my first dog that I had, today marks 7 years since I had to say goodbye to her, she was my first baby and I had her for 14 wonderful years.

Writing an email really does sound like a good idea as i can understand the red flags with the psychologist, hoping your GP can help shed some light on the situation for you. I'm just sorry that you've had to go through this when all you've needed is support to help manage things and it's been anything but. Sending you lots of love and hugs sweetheart ❤️.

@Flutterbug9 Yes, you have human rights, and there is a 'freedom of information' act.

not sure what state you are in, but there should be something.

Even the idea, that I could have choice and control, was not something I took for granted. I learned it from a peer worker.

Take care of yourself

Re: Feeling not so great

@Appleblossom @MissGremlin

In preparation for appointment with my GP tomorrow morning Ive written up brief timeline of events plus dates of all appointments I’ve had with psychologist this year.

I know there is at least 50/50 chance my GP will have her staff formally request the outcome and interpretations of the 5 online assessments I did.

I’m currently feeling annoyed and angry. By now there is only one item, from list I told to psychologist in February, that I haven’t found online information I’m looking for ie 4 out of 5 items I’ve found my own answers and/or tools I can use. It’s not good enough!!

thanks for the link Apple. I’m in Victoria, I’ll have a look at the link during next few days. Next couple of days going to be busy, with mid 20’s up to 30 degrees predicted for my area between yesterday and end of the week I’m trying to keep my place as dark and cool as possible.

thinking of you MissGremlin and sending virtual hugs. 🤗

Re: Feeling not so great

@Flutterbug9 you've done so well to prepare for that appointment tomorrow sweet, i really hope you can get the results with the help of your GP.

I can understand how that would be so annoying, it's definitely not good enough.

Thankyou sweetheart ❤️.

hello @MissGremlin@Taali@Nala2022@Jynx@AuntGlow@Honeymoon@Dimity@NightFury@Jacques@Captain24@DogMan79@Chasingsunsets@eth@EternalFlower@Eve7@Shaz51@Cuddlebear@Bunniekins@Appleblossom- how are you?

today we went to a wharf and walked along it and the water was so clear and pretty, then we went to the cheese factory and did some cheese tasting and that was amazing, we then went to Merimbula and had a look around there and it was so pretty we got ice cream and did some grocery shopping, then went and looked at a beach on the way back. Then came back to our cabin and have been doing word search’s & walking.

had Mac & cheese for dinner, talked with my brother, I pick him up halfway tomorrow, so that should be good, got a early start tomorrow.

but I’m loving it here.
