Riding a wave

Riding a wave

Hi all,

@CherryBomb, @Former-Member or any other @Former-Member floating around Forum Land, will you ride a wave with me? I thought I would be fine doing something...but it turns out that the something has made my big feelings BIG and now I'm in a pickle...and there's nothing worse than a pickled turtle! I'm going to go and snuggle in my bed so I probably won't actually respond to you, but it will still super help me to know that I am not utterly alone on the wave. I don't want to tag anyone else because I don't want anyone to feel they need to respond. Thank you in advance for riding with me.

Re: Riding a wave

Hi @CheerBear,

It sounds like maybe you were awake around the same time I was this morning? Perhaps tomorrow morning we can have an early morning coffee together-but-not if we are both up at silly-o-clock again.

It is very very dark in my world at the moment. However, it is TTT eve so that helps. So long as neither she nor my GP get squished by a bus, I should somehow survive the current muddle, albeit with a very broken brain and an utterly decimated soul.

I hope you have had a peaceful day @CheerBear.

Hi on this TTT eve @Phoenix_Rising

I was awake, maybe not quite as early as you but I wasn't far behind this morning. I think an early morning coffee together-but-not if we're both awake at silly o'clock tomorrow, sounds great (though I hope we can both pull some magic sleeping-in trick off).

I love that one. I saved it, with the lines that go before it, to my board this morning. Big heart feels.

I know you can survive this, though I know it's very dark and very hard.

Hope sleep is sleepier tonight.

Re: Riding a wave

I feel super super super scared @CheerBear. I am going to snuggle into your pocket now. I hope you have a super sleepy sleep. Thank you for being my not-friend. Not friends never disappear, even if they do. A not friend who is not there is still just as much a not friend. We've got this. Night.

Re: Riding a wave

I know you're super scared @Phoenix_Rising. We can be scared together. We've done scary lots before and we can do it some more.

Not-friends don't disappear and I trust that even though trust is SO tricky. And even if not-friends were not together-but-not anymore, they would definitely still be just as much not-friends. That wouldn't change.

I hope you sleep snuggly in there. The kettle is on for the morning, though I'm hoping we both sleep through silly o'clock and we miss seeing the early, early morning. I don't know how you have your coffee and I can't believe I don't know that. For some reason, I feel like I would really like to discover that, sooner than not.

Night

Re: Riding a wave

Good morning @CheerBear if you are around. I am having my morning coffee - white, no sugar.

Morning @Phoenix_Rising

I guessed that wrong. I would have thought white with two. Thank you for letting me know ☺. White no sugar is how I have mine also.

How was sleep last night?

Re: Riding a wave

I was awake a lot during the night, despite taking only in emergencies medication. How was your night? @CheerBear

Re: Riding a wave

Oh that sucks a lot @Phoenix_Rising. I thought sleep meds usually work for you well-ish? I guess that shows how tricky sleep is when you're feeling like you are 🙁

I really struggled to go to sleep last night and was up in the early 4, but that's not totally unusual. I had a little puffer fish in bed with me when I woke up.

Re: Riding a wave

@CheerBear I was up at 4am too - maybe we should have had earlier coffee.

No little puffer fish around here though - just S and me.

Re: Riding a wave

4 somethings are not my favourite time to be up @Phoenix_Rising. 5 somethings are ok with me though.

Do you ever get big feelings (of whatever kind they may be) that are so big they stop you from being able to do even simple things? They just kind of freeze you on the spot? I do. I need to unfreeze and settle them before I can do anything really. I just need to sit with them before doing anything.
