Something’s not right

Riding a wave

Riding a wave

Hi all,

@CherryBomb, @Former-Member or any other @Former-Member floating around Forum Land, will you ride a wave with me? I thought I would be fine doing something...but it turns out that the something has made my big feelings BIG and now I'm in a pickle...and there's nothing worse than a pickled turtle! I'm going to go and snuggle in my bed so I probably won't actually respond to you, but it will still super help me to know that I am not utterly alone on the wave. I don't want to tag anyone else because I don't want anyone to feel they need to respond. Thank you in advance for riding with me.

I superly duperly like you too my not-disappearing not-friend.

We definitely have a talent for getting smashed by life. It astounds me that I can still get so smashed when I am a recluse who barely leaves her house! Right now I don't feel like my getting up again game is strong at all...but it feels stronger for knowing that I have an awesome not-friend playing the game alongside me.

I am super sleepy from my day of riding gigantic waves and I'll be snuggling into your pocket early tonight. Did you see that SleepyPanda and @Former-Member read Thelma with us last night? Yay for book reading. I know a lot of people (including other mental health professionals!) would find it really odd that TTT reads to me for 2-3 minutes at the start of our sessions. It really does super calm me though and paves the way for a productive session. Thank you for helping me to discover the value of that.

I'm super glad you were able to find rainbows in your day today. These tricky days will pass, CheerBear. I just wish I knew how to make them pass quicker - for you and me and @Former-Member and so many others in Forum Land.

Thanks @Catcakes. Happily for me, TTT is also someone who totally believes that I am always doing the best I can, even when it may not look like it. Yay for people who get it!

I did see that @Phoenix_Rising! Big yay for books. Tonight we read In my Heart and Do Not Open this Book. Puffer fish LOVES the last one. Big and Clown fish love In My Heart.

I'm heading off also. Night Phoenix_Rising and @Catcakes and anyone who may be passing by tonight ☺

I feel so alone and so muddled. However you look at it, Fred was right and he is the reason I'm not dead. No one can cope with me. I can (or at least I have so far) survive with only seeing TTT once a week now, but back when I started seeing Fred, I couldn't have survived with that limited contact. The extreme amount of contact that we had is the reason I'm not dead. The very emotionally intimate (and unethical) relationship that we had is the reason I'm not dead. How do I make sense of that? How do I make sense of the fact that the man who ruined my life also saved it? How does anyone make sense of that? How do I process the abusive nature of the relationship, when that relationship is also the reason I'm still alive? How do I even clearly identify it as abusive, when the reality is that he was really only responding to me in the same (albeit much more extreme) way that so many other mental health professionals have? Everyone gets angry at me. Everyone gets frustrated at me. The only difference is that he used a bigger voice, called me a lot of bad names, and occasionally became physically aggressive. But he STAYED. Whereas so many others have dumped me (just as Fred always told me they would), he stayed. How does anyone ever make sense of that???

@Former-Member can you please come and say good night on the ocean? I have giant missing River9 feelings and missing CherryBomb feelings.

Night Forum Land.

@Phoenix_Rising I can hear how painful the feelings of loneliness and loss are right now. I also heard you talk earlier about glimmers of light at the end of the tunnel. I hope you sleep soundly and the morning brings more light for you. Night night.

Re: Riding a wave

From memory today is the day that the world will feel more less-christmas breakish @Phoenix_Rising? If that's the case (and if today really is Friday which, considering my amazing ability to lose track of days, I can't trust it actually is 😉) I hope your volunteering gig and violining is good for you today ☺

Re: Riding a wave

@CheerBear I think the wrongness of the wrong has beaten me. After seeing a glimmer of hope yesterday, I got further smashed by an email bus this evening. It's too big CheerBear. This mess is just too big. It is too big and my support network is too small. TTT is amazing, but the mess is growing at a rate faster than I can even tell TTT about, much less get her to help me with it. I am in my lizard brain and I don't have anyone to talk to, to help me get out of it. I don't matter CheerBear. There are 7.5 billion people on this planet, we are not an endangered species. You matter so so so much to your LF. I don't matter like that to anyone. I am a waste of time and resources. I burn MH professionals out such that then they can't help those who are helpable. It makes sense to sacrifice one for the collective good of the many. I am the one. It is what it is...and it's ok.
