Something’s not right

Riding a wave

Riding a wave

Hi all,

@CherryBomb, @Former-Member or any other @Former-Member floating around Forum Land, will you ride a wave with me? I thought I would be fine doing something...but it turns out that the something has made my big feelings BIG and now I'm in a pickle...and there's nothing worse than a pickled turtle! I'm going to go and snuggle in my bed so I probably won't actually respond to you, but it will still super help me to know that I am not utterly alone on the wave. I don't want to tag anyone else because I don't want anyone to feel they need to respond. Thank you in advance for riding with me.

I'm still sitting on the rocks looking after your 'replacement' shell for when you finally make it to shore @Phoenix_Rising. Keep floating little turtle, I can see the storm getting further away and the waves will fade to calmer water soon. See you on dry land...I have brought a present for you when you get here to help dry off...

...and so night has fallen on the ocean yet again. I think I just need about 24-48 trigger-free hours and this storm will finally pass. My psychologist now knows not to pre-warn me that a session is going to be triggering, I'm not connected with any other mental health professionals so I can't get unexpectedly dumped for exhibiting the very behaviour that I am seeking help for, and there are big ships like @CherryBomb and @NikNik watching over this ocean, plus a whole bunch of other people who will magically appear if any tornados come. Yep, I think I've got my bases covered. I mean, I'm a recluse for goodness sake - how the heck can a recluse still fall into such muddling situations! Good night Forum Land. I know I'll make it back to shore sometime soon.

@Phoenix_Rising I left some candles on the beach to show you tha way - and a soft place to rest once you get here...

To go along with Zoe's candles, I'm coming past dangling off a nightlight just in case it's still dark where you are @Phoenix_Rising

Re: Riding a wave

FINALLY the waves are settling. I am still bobbing around in the ocean, but it is much calmer out here now. I think I need to spend another night out here just going with the flow, and then tomorrow I will be strong enough to make my way to shore. I can see the shore. I can see the candles, the bed, the towels and the brand new shell that @Zoe7 has brought to the shore, I can see @CheerBear swinging off a nightlight, I can see @Shaz51 all snuggled up waiting for me, and I can see the teddy bear that @Faith-and-Hope brought to the shore so very many days ago.

It doesn't feel scary out here on the ocean tonight. It is calm and quiet and there is an AMAZING full moon. Yep, I'm just going to bob around out here tonight enjoying the wonder of how even the worst of storms passes and then I will land on shore tomorrow.

Super big thank you for watching over the ocean @CherryBomb. Knowing you are there, ready to don your floaties and swim out to me if any tornados come, helps me to feel super safe...and the safe feeling is one of my favourite feelings.

Re: Riding a wave

Hello @CherryBomb,

It`s a Peach face love bird

years ago the kids found one in the sandpit and we kept her and she lived for about 10 years -- I did not think they lived that long

King parrots are bigger and noisier
