Something’s not right

Riding a wave

Riding a wave

Hi all,

@CherryBomb, @Former-Member or any other @Former-Member floating around Forum Land, will you ride a wave with me? I thought I would be fine doing something...but it turns out that the something has made my big feelings BIG and now I'm in a pickle...and there's nothing worse than a pickled turtle! I'm going to go and snuggle in my bed so I probably won't actually respond to you, but it will still super help me to know that I am not utterly alone on the wave. I don't want to tag anyone else because I don't want anyone to feel they need to respond. Thank you in advance for riding with me.

Phoenix_Rising slow breathe, stand up and move around, have drink of water. Big ships came. Words will come back when big feelings get less big.

@Phoenix_Rising I did this puzzle today while I am in my muddle thinking of you while I was doing it. Breathe and swim and rest until you get to shore. You've got this and I'm here with you too. I just won't be visible until tomorrow again probably. I believe in you. 💜🤗

Hi @Phoenix_Rising,

Deep breaths. Deep breaths.

You are doing good.

No need for full sentences, random thoughts will do. We're all here sitting you.

I've written you an email. Perhaps get yourself a drink, and have a read when you're ready.

Sigh...just a few hours ago I was musing that after seeing my GP and having a good night's sleep, I anticipated that the storm would start to settle. Now I'm not so sure about that. The waves are amazingly unrelenting this time around. But it will pass, I just know it.

Thank you to everyone who has stayed with me during this spectacular storm. @Former-Member I LOVE the puzzle that you have done. Ever since my first psych admission back in 1997, I've always done jigsaw puzzles when in hospital...except I do "real" ones rather than online ones. I find them super calming. I hope you are travelling ok today, Teej.

It's another stormy night out here in the ocean, but I know I'm not alone. I know I can fall asleep in my battered and leaky shell knowing that there are others around me, and that @CherryBomb and whoever follows her later tonight is keeping watch over the ocean.

Wow, these waves just keep rolling on this time around. I think overall the storm is starting to settle, but I think my shell suffered further damage in the tornado last night such that even though the waves are a bit smaller, it is just as hard to stay afloat. I'm definitely going to have to trade this shell in for the new one @Zoe7 has waiting for me on the shore when I get back there. I super hope the teddy bear that @Faith-and-Hope left at the shore days ago is still there too. I'm pretty sure it is.

That tornado last night was pretty super gigantic. I am trying to process it by focusing on all the helpers that came, rather than the tornado itself. I keep telling myself to look at the helpers. Super big thank you to all those helpers: @Shaz51 @CherryBomb @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member @CheerBear.

I know the storm will settle sometime. Storms simply do not last forever. Sometime soon the dawn will break on a calm and still ocean, and then I will find my way to shore. And until then, all I have to do is just keep swimming...and maybe get another tinsy tiny turtle hug from @Former-Member
