Something’s not right

Riding a wave

Riding a wave

Hi all,

@CherryBomb, @Former-Member or any other @Former-Member floating around Forum Land, will you ride a wave with me? I thought I would be fine doing something...but it turns out that the something has made my big feelings BIG and now I'm in a pickle...and there's nothing worse than a pickled turtle! I'm going to go and snuggle in my bed so I probably won't actually respond to you, but it will still super help me to know that I am not utterly alone on the wave. I don't want to tag anyone else because I don't want anyone to feel they need to respond. Thank you in advance for riding with me.

Re: Riding a wave

@CheerBear your comment about your lifejacket not calling the white ships reminded me of something else in the call yesterday. I told TTT how super triggering I find the phrase "to help keep you safe" because people tend to say it while doing really really unsafe things like getting me locked up in a psych. ward. We didn't really talk about it, but I like that she made a note of it. She also made a note of the fact that "rules" feel much better to me than "boundaries."

I am planning to write a list of all the trigger words/phrases I can think of, before I see TTT next week. I am seeing her on the 14th. Awwwwwww CheerBear, I'm back in The Waiting Place AGAIN!!!!! Still, I am seeing my turtle whisperer today and again next Tuesday so that will help with the waiting. I super wish my turtle whisperer could stick around for a bit longer than the end of January. The original plan was that we would do a very slooooooow transition to TTT. Having now spoken with her, I feel that she will be able to super help with the giant feelings around my turtle whisperer ceasing to work with me, but I still wish we had a little more time. I feel so angry at the peanut practice manager who delayed the whole process by several weeks with her oh-so-wrong assumption that TTT would need to be paid for the phonecall. If it wasn't for her, I would have met with TTT by now. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

@Sans911 ROFL Methinks you may be a melted snowflakey banana head...just like @CheerBear. Although...I should have remembered that you had commented, so I guess that makes me a melted snowflakey banana head as well.

@Former-Member ROFL. That is a super super super funny image - me covered in Nutella and glitter! I super wish I could find a picture of that, but I'm not sure if google is going to be able to rise to this challenge. {Wanders off to google turtles covered in nutella and glitter...knowing that Lunar is probably now doing the same thing}.

@Phoenix_Rising I am really happy for you that things are starting to get unmuddled here and you have some positives irl too. I have also seen that you are working out image creation on your own - this is a great thing as there will still be someone here that can DO images

Do you think this looks like me @Former-Member?

@Zoe7 Super big thank you for sharing in my happiness. Things truly CAN shift Zoe!!! I super need help with picture making. I have no idea how you do all the cool things you do with pictures. I super badly want a lesson when you are feeling up to it. This feels like my form of craft/art.

Re: Riding a wave

It does, and that is the exact amount of nutella + glitter coverage I was imagining @Phoenix_Rising

Re: Riding a wave

Will need to be a time when there is less 'traffic' here @Phoenix_Rising - still not able to deal with the forum 'as a whole' - need to do little bits and pieces still for now.

Re: Riding a wave

Ok @Zoe7 . How about I ask some questions and you can maybe answer them whenever you want to (and it's a bazillion percent ok to not want to for a loooooooong time).

I am using Publisher 2010. I'm wondering if you are using a later version and thus can do more fancy stuff?

I am using Paint to crop pictures. I have a feeling that you have a better way to do it. I have discovered how to make the background of a picture transparent, but I am still needing to crop some pictures because the background is of more than one colour and it will only let me make one colour transparent.

Re: Riding a wave

I have Publisher 2013 but thereis not a lot of difference between 2010 and 1013 @Phoenix_Rising

I use Microsoft Word to crop and remove backgrounds. If you click on the image you should have FORMAT under PICTURE TOOLS come up on the top bar - then find REMOVE BACKGROUND under ADJUST. see if you can play with that for a while and I'll add the next stage if you have all of that.
