Functional neurological disorder

Hi friends,

A couple weeks ago I was in hospital again and got diagnosed with functional neurological disorder. I had never even heard of this before, the doctor only gave me a website to look up so no one has sat down with me to talk through treatments. My current psychologist doesn’t have any experience or training with FND, she recommended I find someone who specialises in it. Has anyone had any experiences with FND? How was a psychologist able to help? Did your condition improve? I’m really worried I’m just going to waste all my saved money without making any real progress or regaining my quality of life.
