Ok so ive created a new thread that revolves around our garden so its easier to find the pics and stuff rather than jumping from gardening to depression.

Community Guides are forum members who basically 'look over' the forum by adding to conversations, welcoming new members, and generally ensuring that the forum is a safe place to be - basically a middle ground between all members and moderators. @utopia could explain this a lot better than me. If for example - like the day that I was chatting to you and I didn't want you left unsupported when I needed to log off - I tagged in a couple of Community Guides that I thought might be around to continue to support you.

Ok so i get the contributors but how does someone get to a community guide? Is that by points or posts or something as well?
So these community guides are kinda like online moderators who instead if emailing them they still chat to you on the forums...?

@Former-Member I noticed when I first posted it was new contributor.... it quickly went up to senior contributor because I guess I posted heaps.. as yours probably would have too.
The guides I am not sure how that works... you'll have to get someone more informed than I on that one... I see a lot of the super girls are guides.. @Appleblossom @Faith-and-Hope etc are guides. But I don't know if they are asked to become guides or what... so I too would like that answered 🙂 I have been wondering about it a lot.

We are .. just people with our own issues or LIVED EXPERIENCES who liked the forum and tried to relate to new people and help make it alright to contribute to the forums even when feeling low, afraid or manic etc. We accepted the role of Community Guide but are not moderators.

Community Guides - @Former-Member & @Former-Member are asked if they would like to take on this role. @NikNik & moderators recommend particular members & then we decide if we want to do it or not.
It's no where near the level of Moderator - those guys are all trained (I think).
Community Guides are the same as other members on the forum. We don't all have our stuff together - our moods go up and down like everyone elses. We just try and respond to new members & direct them around the forum. Let people know we are listening. Open new threads - or help 'lead' those threads.

ahh ok @utopia that's more or less what I suspected but it was pure guess so I wasn't going to go on just a wild guess. Thankyou for making it super clear. Much appreciated 🙂
oh and glad your meeting went well. Sounded like doors opening rather than closing so *fingers crossed* for the new psych report.
