Hey @Orangebell45
I just want to welcome you to the forums, and I am so glad that you have reached out and shared what has been on your mind with us all 💚
Please know that what you are feeling is a very common experience when returning to work after an illness or a significant episode. It takes a lot of courage to even begin thinking about the next step.
Often, when we feel like everyone is focused on our absence, but in reality, most people are caught up in their own daily tasks. Many colleagues will likely just be happy to see you back and may not even ask for details. I want you to know, though, that you are in charge of how much you share. You don't owe anyone a detailed medical history. A simple, "I've had some health issues to take care of, but I'm glad to be back," is a perfectly complete answer.
If it is an option, I would enquire about the possibility of your workplace "soft-launching," perhaps starting with part-time hours or working from home a few days a week to help build your confidence back up.
It is okay to take this one hour at a time. You've already navigated a very difficult period of being unwell; that shows a lot of inner strength, even if you don't feel "strong" right now 💚
