@Chasingsunsets No thick pea soup with a good size smoked hog in it and fresh leek is my favourite, Chicken soup is my wife's favourite soup.
(6 litres of water and one lire of milk. Then i use 2 kg of drum legs and 2-3 onions adding lots of fresh herbs, (like 3-4 big hands full,) My favourite are oregano, marjoram, basil, parsley and Celery of course. (i use mixed herbs in Winter.) i also add curry and powdered chilli, we like it spicy. i buzz the onions and herbs in a little water and add it to the water. After that i add my 'secret ingredient', Vegete Gourmet, however i only a little over half what they recommend on the can, and add a little cream (i add just 150ml in 7 litres of soup) really improves the flavour, but i only add this when the soup is done. Normally i'm no lover of stock bought in the shops, but Vegete Gourmet makes very nice soup, although i only use this flavour. i also use this stock
for sauces, meat, fish, and mashed spuds.)

My wife loves my soup. Rarely will she compliment me on something i make, for she is not the kind who gives, or expects, compliments, but when i make her soup it is always a winner. ( i love home made lamb and vegetable soup, and tomato soup a lot as well)
How is everyone else going?
