Depression- Really Struggling- may be triggering

Depression- Really Struggling- may be triggering

I realise how little i mean to people. i mean nothing.
its abit like walking down a long dark street never knowing when a light might flick on to show me the way or give me some hope.
im tired of trying. tired of hoping. tired of coping. tired of exisiting. tired of breathing. i think im done.
dear everyone that knows me, im sorry im such a disapointment. im sorry i cant live up to your expectations. im sorry i was born. im sorry if ive hurt you. im sorry if ive made you miserable. i deserve all the blame and hatred i have gotten. everything is my fault and im sorry.
im locked within the walls of my own minds and i just cant escape it.
Pain. Pain all the time. It runs through my veins a fast flowing river with nothing there to stop it.
Just get over it they say. i wish i could, im living minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day. im struggling with memories that haunt me everyday and i dont think they will ever fade.
my thoughts are overwhelming and what hurts me the most is when people pretend to care but really they dont.
im so scared. things just arent the same anymore. im not doing anything right anymore. ive lsot myself, the person i once knew isnt here anymore. i dont know what to do anymore. i feel like i dont belong here or in reality. no where. i have constant feelings of being unworthy and hopeless, of being a prisioner in my own body.
i have so much pain physically and mentally. i try to stay happy. i try to keep smiling. i try to be brave. i try to be stong. i try to act like everything is ok but im far from it.
i never know when im going to have a 'good' day and at any minute im triggered and takes such a long time to recover.
there are monsters living inside me, attacking me, ripping me apart from the inside. i dont think its ever going to end
but its ok "ill just have to get over it" just as expected

We don't hate you 🙂

I often get a bit caught on assuming i know what everyone around me is thinking.. that my psychologist is sick of me, that everyone is sick of me, that everyone at work thinks i cant do my job, etc etc... But if i look at things differently, or give things time, i usually come out the other side going it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be.

Friends are tricky though *ha i don't have many! ... and sometimes it might be that they just have stuff of their own going on at the moment, or don't really know how to support you and feel unsure what/how to do anything. I think often when people are in new territory they pull away, or think that someone else will know what to do/help better.

Luckily you found us here 🙂 though i know that it still feels lonely in the 'real world' so to speak. I hope we can fill a little of the void.

hugs

Re: Depression- Really Struggling- may be triggering

@Former-Member i only asked how they were going. Just a general question and they always ignore me. Yet those three talk together without a problem.
So i guess they arent real friends 😞 which means i have none. No outside of here friends.
You guys in here are great though. @Former-Member

Hugs, it could be that they just can't understand your life/situation either, and vice a versa. When i was your age, i found it really difficult to identify iwth other people my age because i was raising siblings and working full time and at uni full time and managing my mothers illness/disasters etc. I found it difficult to relate to other people at uni my age who were living at home, going home to a cooked dinner and having their clothes washed for them... They were out partying or going to have a coffee in between lectures and i was either madly doing an assignment or going to work, or picking up a kid from school and dropping them off at something etc.

@Former-Member I hope you don't mind if I jump in again? The system is notifying me of this thread.

I have a similar problem to you with friends. They don't understand mental illness so I don't know if they know how to help. Mind you I do have this one really good mate who just rings me for no reason which I like. But others sometimes ostracise me, they give me well meaning advice and get the ****s when I can't follow it! They think that the solution is easy and that I can "snap" out of it! Do you have a similar dilemma?

Re: Depression- Really Struggling- may be triggering

im sorry @Former-Member

Might be worth putting into place something to help you cope tonight. some more drawing? music to listen to? something soothing to drink (i am about to have my herbal tea and get ready for bed). If things are feeling really bad would it help to phone a crisis line? (i need to go look at your coping thread for ideas!) A long time ago a beautiful member called @Crazy_Bug_Lady (miss you in case you see this!), started a coping box thread if you want some extra ideas as well. I'm glad you started a new thread though as it is important to stay up to date with new members and brings coping back into focus again.
