Depression- Really Struggling- may be triggering

Depression- Really Struggling- may be triggering

I realise how little i mean to people. i mean nothing.
its abit like walking down a long dark street never knowing when a light might flick on to show me the way or give me some hope.
im tired of trying. tired of hoping. tired of coping. tired of exisiting. tired of breathing. i think im done.
dear everyone that knows me, im sorry im such a disapointment. im sorry i cant live up to your expectations. im sorry i was born. im sorry if ive hurt you. im sorry if ive made you miserable. i deserve all the blame and hatred i have gotten. everything is my fault and im sorry.
im locked within the walls of my own minds and i just cant escape it.
Pain. Pain all the time. It runs through my veins a fast flowing river with nothing there to stop it.
Just get over it they say. i wish i could, im living minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day. im struggling with memories that haunt me everyday and i dont think they will ever fade.
my thoughts are overwhelming and what hurts me the most is when people pretend to care but really they dont.
im so scared. things just arent the same anymore. im not doing anything right anymore. ive lsot myself, the person i once knew isnt here anymore. i dont know what to do anymore. i feel like i dont belong here or in reality. no where. i have constant feelings of being unworthy and hopeless, of being a prisioner in my own body.
i have so much pain physically and mentally. i try to stay happy. i try to keep smiling. i try to be brave. i try to be stong. i try to act like everything is ok but im far from it.
i never know when im going to have a 'good' day and at any minute im triggered and takes such a long time to recover.
there are monsters living inside me, attacking me, ripping me apart from the inside. i dont think its ever going to end
but its ok "ill just have to get over it" just as expected

Hi @Former-Member - I was just looking for something quick and easy for the fish to do so I could have a moment of quiet and came across this very cool site

http://www.firstpalette.com/tool_box/printables/eastereggs.html

It has heaps of printables and easy crafty ideas. I've linked it on the easter page but if you search through you might find heaps more stuff that might help too. Had a quick look and bookmarked it myself.

Hope you're doing ok @Phoenix_Rising read some stuff. Not much to say but thinking of you. Here if you want to chat it through but understand that you might not too.

Re: Depression- Really Struggling- may be triggering

@CheerBear Thank you for your offer for a chat. I'm not sure if the "stuff" you read was my vent (which I specifically put in the safe venting-only-not-wanting-a-response space) or the distinctly unhelpful response and my explosive response to that response (definitely forgot the turtle technique there!!!). Regarding my original vent, this is an ongoing situation, which has been bubbling along for the past four months and will continue to bubble along until X happens, at which time it will be resolved one way or another. Regarding the unhelpful response, happily Lunar answered the phone when I called SANE and she sat with me through the gigantic feelings and didn't hang up on me while I was making weird noises until I got regulated enough to find my words. Then we talked it all through, the unhelpful post has been removed and I will now just keep swimming. It super sucked getting flooded with giant feelings, but the Earth didn't fall off its axis, the Universe didn't explode, and I'm pretty sure the sun will still rise tomorrow.

Re: Depression- Really Struggling- may be triggering

I'm super glad you were able find someone helpful to sit with through it all @Phoenix_Rising and that the giant feelings haven't caused an earth shatter or universe explosion. Thank you for taking the time to get back to me. You totally didn't have to but I appreciate hearing from you all the same.

Re: Depression- Really Struggling- may be triggering

Hey @Former-Member. I can completely understand why you would be feeling really nervous. Have you got any kind of plan in mind for how you might approach things tomorrow?

Re: Depression- Really Struggling- may be triggering

hiya my sister @Shaz51

@CheerBear no i dont have a plan in mind- on the phone the last time we rang i made it clear i dont want to talk about my relationships with my mother at the moment as thats not helping me and that i would like to learn more coping techniques more to my sh and suicidal thoughts so when i finish the program i will be better equipped for eventually going deeper into my problems and that means exposure therapy eventually

Re: Depression- Really Struggling- may be triggering

That sounds like a pretty great plan @Former-Member. Coping techniques and strategies for managing tricky thoughts and feelings is how I use my time with my pscyhologist too. I've been holding back on my opinion of exposure therapy but I do think it's important that you are able to feel as if you're in control of the session and what's beyond your level of tolerance. From what I've noticed it seems as if the more you are able to cope with intense emotions and destructive thoughts, the more manageable things seem and I think this would be the case for almost everyone.

How are you finding the forums tonight? I've noticed it seems you're implementing your plan 🙂
