@StuF I am more of a NRL girl, but I am in the AFL footy tips at my partner's work, so we usually end up watching the games.
I followed the Sydney Swans from 2006 until 2019 when Heath Grundy was playing. I used to work with his sister, so when he started playing, I automatically followed the team he played for. I watch a few of him games when the Swans played the Adelaide Crows (my partner's team) and I flew to Sydney with his family for his 21st birthday, to watch him play at the SGC. We got to go down into the change rooms after the match, which was a first for me and a very big eye opening. We then went out to dinner with some of the players. I sat opposite Michael O'Laughlin who is such a lovely guy. Once Heath retired, I sort of lost interest in the AFL, but since I started doing the footy tipping last year, I enjoy watching it, just to see if I selected the correct team or not. And I don't pretend to know all the rules. It is hard to work out what they are, as in one game one rule will apply, but in another game, it doesn't seem to. So, I get very confused.
Are you any good at picking the winning teams each week?
