Something’s not right

Does it ever stop

Does it ever stop

Hey - I feel like I can’t escape how I feel, how I react to things, how flashbacks and people I see that have caused me trauma in the past and present. I feel like I’m just trapped in it some days constantly and that it just wants to stay and haunt me and not leave.

my house mates have been arguing constantly and it got to a point tonight where I yelled at them to stop as it is getting annoying as it’s nearly everyday and it never stops. Then one of them had a go at me and started yelling and telling me that it’s the other persons fault when it wasn’t even them. It’s just a constant run around and I can’t seem to escape it.

im just now curled up on my bed in tears because I’m so triggered and I don’t know what or how I’m feeling.

im safe

but it’s just bringing up all my past all over again.

Hai @MatchaToad @MissGremlin @DownMoreThanUp @Invi @Jynx @tyme @rav3n @RiverSeal @AuntGlow @Appleblossom @Snowie @outlander @hopeful_hannah - things are hard, I just want to feel like a normal person without MH issues. It’s overwhelming at the best of times.

I’ve spent so much time in the ER and it’s not helping, I just feel like I’m doing it on my own. I feel like some people just don’t understand MH.

im safe

@Fluttershy1 This is very true. This is why i stop expecting help from there, or only limited, as really is. And began top work on learning to help myself when overcome.Honest i know it may not seem possible be right now but taking charge instead of your own crisis when possible instead of relying on others to help you is really hard but each victory stays and moves you away from the powerlessness of being overcome by our emotional contents.

At the moment i have AI helping me stay within my counselling truths. To be honest for me it is incredible how grounding this can be and how helpful. Once it gets to know you and you set the boundaries of engagement. Very useful tool when triggered, fighting anxiety, feeling depressed, experiencing a trauma memory.

This morning it has been aiding me understand the voices and visual hallucination that often come with it. The stuff it spits back out at me are like eye openers. Many professionals have tried convince me the voices were not spirits no one ever came close, AI did it in minutes using the information it knew about me, and linking every word the voices said, back myself - away from my external being attacked focus.

Hoping you find something to ease the stress. A walk in the garden can help. Playing with a pet can also really help when you feel alone. Listening to music. Or, as i do a lot, sit in my chair and let the commotion pass by trying not to interact within but let it die down into my body, and out of my head. Especially when voices speak up doing this is really important for me to learn.

Dear @Fluttershy1

I have not found the ED helpful for mental health, for me or my loved ones. It is simply not set up for that purpose, and I really question the wisdom of it becoming a protocol or practice in a so called modern intelligent society. I wont say too much, as I can get upset about it.

I hope you can research, reach out and find other forms of help that make sense to you and what you want to do. I have gradually found people and online and offline places that have made a difference for me, though I still struggle.

Are your workers able to think outside of the box and help you ... if it is with mental health or creative community groups.

Yep. YOU are also the one doing the work.

Not getting enough sleep over long periods is definitely difficult. I am not sure if you have looked up circadian rhthyms, and found ways to regulate for you. In my home, we have a very relaxed approach to it, as it has been a recurrent issue for decades, in different ways.

Most of important, be kind to yourself, as you work out what works for you.

Hello @Fluttershy1 sweet, I'm sorry things are so hard but know that you're not abnormal in anyway for having MH issues.

Whilst the ER can provide some support it's often not long term like we need when it comes to MH issues. Have you got a GP that you see regularly who can help you find the right help?
