Something’s not right

Does it ever stop

Does it ever stop

Hey - I feel like I can’t escape how I feel, how I react to things, how flashbacks and people I see that have caused me trauma in the past and present. I feel like I’m just trapped in it some days constantly and that it just wants to stay and haunt me and not leave.

my house mates have been arguing constantly and it got to a point tonight where I yelled at them to stop as it is getting annoying as it’s nearly everyday and it never stops. Then one of them had a go at me and started yelling and telling me that it’s the other persons fault when it wasn’t even them. It’s just a constant run around and I can’t seem to escape it.

im just now curled up on my bed in tears because I’m so triggered and I don’t know what or how I’m feeling.

im safe

but it’s just bringing up all my past all over again.

Re: Does it ever stop

@Fluttershy1 it's chilly here tonight too. Are you inside or outside sweet?

Here is the poem I wrote.

I write these words out line by line,

for these thoughts are truly mine.

Reading them back feels unreal,

as it proves the pain inside is real.

I'm not sure why it is I write,

but I guess sometimes it just feels right.

It only comes when things are dark,

no light, no hope, not even a spark.

Getting things out feels like a test,

in hopes that then my thoughts can rest.

So I pick up paper and a pen,

and let the words spill out again.

There's no knowing what will come out,

something dark, without a doubt.

But each word you read comes from within,

from a life that's wearing thin.

Every line must hold a rhyme,

if it doesn't, it feels a crime.

Some lines come easy, without a fight,

others feel like they're out of sight.

My poetry comes from the heart,

it's what sets my thoughts apart.

So every word you read is true,

a fragile world I share with you.

Beneath each word, a secret lies,

a fractured soul, a thousand cries.

So read between the lines, if you dare,

see the shadows, hear the despair.

@Fluttershy1 @DownMoreThanUp thank you for sharing your beautiful poems 💖. I can shift through some of my work and see if I can find something another day. I think a big chunk of my poems are on the usb

Sitting with me helps @MissGremlin - I’m not tired all I keep doing is coughing

Re: Does it ever stop

@Fluttershy1 I'm glad it helps sweet. Coughing is tough, have you tried to have some honey and lemon tea? Even just a teaspoon of honey can help with coughing.
