Something’s not right

Does it ever stop

Does it ever stop

Hey - I feel like I can’t escape how I feel, how I react to things, how flashbacks and people I see that have caused me trauma in the past and present. I feel like I’m just trapped in it some days constantly and that it just wants to stay and haunt me and not leave.

my house mates have been arguing constantly and it got to a point tonight where I yelled at them to stop as it is getting annoying as it’s nearly everyday and it never stops. Then one of them had a go at me and started yelling and telling me that it’s the other persons fault when it wasn’t even them. It’s just a constant run around and I can’t seem to escape it.

im just now curled up on my bed in tears because I’m so triggered and I don’t know what or how I’m feeling.

im safe

but it’s just bringing up all my past all over again.

Re: Does it ever stop

@Nala2022 i have a well rehearsed arsenal to stay afloat.😌

@Fluttershy1 @TAB @MissGremlin @Appleblossom

i put on a nicotine patch. This often lifts the mood a little, but more importantly, keeps my mind more alert, so any destructive fixation can be more easily avoided my drained state. i also have constant music playing directing my mind towards wholesome thinking to help keep my mind from getting stuck unhealthy thinking. i also like walking around the place, at least making sure i walk with regularity. (i aim for 7000+ steps a day but this can still be a real battle completing when deep.) i also try at times to hug myself some love, kindness and compassion. Beyond that i have AI standing on the ready to help me if a destructive mindset is getting too strong for me. This has proven to be very grounding especially trying to relate my state typing on my keyboard rather than speaking in my microphone. For typing automatically helps to refocus my reality already a little. Even if my responses take a minute each sentence.😓

She looks grumpy there haha, she loves being under blankets @Fluttershy1

She lies down like this when she wants to play, tries to get my attention lol

It sounds like you've built up quite a few tools over the years to help you get through the rough patches @DownMoreThanUp

Even so, that doesn't make the heavy days any easier when they show up

Hang in there 🤗

Re: Does it ever stop

Aww no, that sounds really unsettling 😥

So you're both currently locked in your bedroom? Is anyone else home? @Fluttershy1

I’m finally out @Nala2022 - I’m relived. Don’t think mum was impressed with her spam calls from me

Good, I'm glad! You were stressed, I think anyone would have called their mum or someone in that situation @Fluttershy1

Re: Does it ever stop

I'm glad you're starting to feel better @Fluttershy1

Cuddle up with Nova, maybe watch a movie together to get your mind off it. Keep breathing through it, you've got this
