@Nala2022 - you will laugh at this, she thinks Perry is a play toy aswell but he isn’t. She also chases her tail which is really funny.

the flashbacks have just been from past traumatic experiences and it’s getting overwhelming at times and also it can be when people don’t give me space and when I’ve already got a lot on my plate or sensory overload. It can be several things.
i woke up every few hours because of nightmares. Nova ended up sleeping on my back I don’t know why but it was so cute. But sometimes i just zone out for hours aswell.

It's normal when you feel overwhelmed or stressed for flashbacks and nightmares to resurface, doesn't make it any easier. It sounds like your nervous system is up and down. I'm sorry you're going through this, try to remember how resilient you are, even when you don't feel it.

I think Nova could sense you needed the comfort, I like to think their purring has healing abilities. When I feel overwhelmed, I cuddle with Nala and just listen to her purring, brings a sense of calmness

@Nala2022 - yeh, it’s very much up and down but I’m somehow coping, if nova is sleeping on my back and I don’t wake up she will swipe me with her paw hahaha.

it’s cold here in Melbourne so I have the heating on and it’s making it so much more comfortable
