Something’s not right

Does it ever stop

Does it ever stop

Hey - I feel like I can’t escape how I feel, how I react to things, how flashbacks and people I see that have caused me trauma in the past and present. I feel like I’m just trapped in it some days constantly and that it just wants to stay and haunt me and not leave.

my house mates have been arguing constantly and it got to a point tonight where I yelled at them to stop as it is getting annoying as it’s nearly everyday and it never stops. Then one of them had a go at me and started yelling and telling me that it’s the other persons fault when it wasn’t even them. It’s just a constant run around and I can’t seem to escape it.

im just now curled up on my bed in tears because I’m so triggered and I don’t know what or how I’m feeling.

im safe

but it’s just bringing up all my past all over again.

@Nala2022 - started making the blanket this evening so it’s progress, I find doing this stuff quite therapeutic.

I’ve had a good day, kept busy and low key. Slept and watched movies, now I’m watching movies and crocheting.

Hai @Appleblossom - had a little chuckle about your cat on the curtain they can be very naughty sometimes. But we love them dearly

She really is @MissGremlin - I’m doing crocheting this evening making a baby blanket and watching movies while trying to give nova my undivided attention as she is being cheeky. Trying to keep my mind very busy so my thoughts don’t get too loud.

am safe

That's awesome! 😊 It sounds like you've made a great start on the blanket already.

Crocheting really can be so therapeutic, especially when you're making something for someone special.

I'm glad you've had a good day and kept things low-key. Any good movie recommendations? @Fluttershy1

Re: Does it ever stop

Same! I prefer thrillers, horrors, fantasy (Harry Potter is my favorite), action, comedies and rom coms. Sometimes a good drama too 😊

How are you and Nova today? @Fluttershy1

I’m abit stressed out @Nala2022 - nova is good she’s got the zoomies.

I love fantasy action comedy cartoon Romcom drama. I have a few I like. It depends on mood aswell. I just yeh.

Why are you feeling stressed out? @Fluttershy1

That was Nala last night, she pounced on my head lol

Yeah I'm the same, depends on my mood. I recently started the John Wick movies again, so much action!

Re: Does it ever stop

Just the way I’m feeling at the minute, I didn’t really sleep much last night @Nala2022 - nala sounds like she wanted all the attention from you last night lol. She’s like hey watch this. Pounce. 😂

I have had intense flashbacks aswell, but I’ve been sitting with them which is really good instead of going to ED all the time. I’ve made it 4 weeks without going to ED. I’ve had to tell nova off the morning because she keeps on jumping on things she’s not supposed to lol.

I always find towards my birthday month which is end of July and coming to it very confronting. Am safe

Re: Does it ever stop

Not sleeping the best can definitely put you on edge.

Yeah pretty much, she gets cranky if I don't give her enough attention lol

That must feel overwhelming, but sitting with them is huge, it's not an easy thing to do. You should be proud of yourself, 4 weeks! That's amazing. It's also okay if you do go ED though, we all reach a point where it gets too much sometimes. Do you think sitting with the feelings have been helpful or is there anything else you're finding helpful now?

Haha she's so cheeky I love it 🤣

Aw really? It can be confronting for some. Did you want to talk about that? (only if you're comfortable). I'm glad you're safe @Fluttershy1
