Something’s not right

Does it ever stop

Does it ever stop

Hey - I feel like I can’t escape how I feel, how I react to things, how flashbacks and people I see that have caused me trauma in the past and present. I feel like I’m just trapped in it some days constantly and that it just wants to stay and haunt me and not leave.

my house mates have been arguing constantly and it got to a point tonight where I yelled at them to stop as it is getting annoying as it’s nearly everyday and it never stops. Then one of them had a go at me and started yelling and telling me that it’s the other persons fault when it wasn’t even them. It’s just a constant run around and I can’t seem to escape it.

im just now curled up on my bed in tears because I’m so triggered and I don’t know what or how I’m feeling.

im safe

but it’s just bringing up all my past all over again.

I’m really glad to hear the sensory room helped and that you’ve got a bit of a second wind coming back @Fluttershy1 😊

It sounds like a good plan to head along to the peer group at 10am, hopefully it’s a supportive space for you today.

Glad to hear you’re feeling a bit lighter and able to laugh a little too

Hai @Nala2022 @MissGremlin @tyme @TAB @Appleblossom @AuntGlow @Jynx - today was a harder day. Haven’t been able to stay present have needed more support than usual, had tears and frustration, have been in a POTS flare up, left halfway through the mornings group. Made it through the afternoon group. Did a few 1-1s and now I’m laying on the sensory mat waiting for meditation and to be able to regulate hopefully. Things are just really tough.

am safe

Hello @Fluttershy1 sweet, I'm sorry that today's been rough. I'm really glad you're in a place where you can get support. I hope things settle for you soon sweet and that you can get a good night's rest. Sending lots of hugs ❤️.

Hey @MissGremlin - thanks for the hugs, things are hard, I keep dissociating, didn’t make it through meditation without dissociating, my whole body is still numb. Trying to stay present at the moment is abit of a mission.

staff have to keep checking in with me and sitting with me till it passes.

am safe

@Fluttershy1 i hear you sweet. Can we try to slow things down, even just a little bit. Try to focus on some things around you, notice their colour, texture etc. Remind yourself that you're safe, you've got people around that care and are there to support you and we're here for you too.

Hi @Fluttershy1,

I'm sorry to hear yesterday was such a hard day for you.

It sounds like you were carrying a lot, and dealing with all the emotions that were coming up. Even so, you did what you needed to do in the moment, leaving a group when things became too much, making it through the afternoon group, and reaching out for some extra support.

I’m glad you were able to spend some time on the sensory mat and access the supports available to you at PARC.

Thank you for letting us know how things were going, and I’m glad you were able to stay safe through such a tough day 💛

@Nala2022 @MissGremlin @tyme @TAB @Appleblossom @AuntGlow @Jynx - interesting day, had a my care team meeting catch up, saw my behaviour support prac, she came to the meeting, ditched exercise physiology, went to sleep hygiene group and then went out for the evening, also attended the chiropractor which has helped a lot. Had some anxiety & dissociation but I’ve managed but I’m exhausted tonight so possibly an early night. already in bed. I’m ditching meditation because I’m falling asleep. had my night meds at 8pm or abit earlier than that as I was just winding down. Got my heat pack as I have been in pain with the cold, the heat has been helping with the pain less.

Overall a good day.
