Thursday Coffee and Chat -- 19th February 2026

@Chasingsunsets Sam was wild and he was blown out of his nest. When he landed in our backyard he almost landed on top on Mal and Mal took off! Despite catching doves and bringing them into the house still alive, he was never game to go too close to Sam.

We had Sam talking and laughing, he was pretty free range when we were at home and then in his cage at night and when I was at work. When I moved back to my own house he used to sit on the lattice work while I was in the garden.
I kept his wing clipped so he couldn't fly away but he must have had enough lift to fly off. I left his cage open and his seed bowl full for a couple of weeks but he was gone. I think I said before that I like to think he went and found himself a wife and is living the high life.

I had a wee bit of fuzz hehe @ENKELI I was away over the weekend - and saw some very fuzzy fairy penguins!! Look at them 😍

Friday started out okay but turned into a sh*t show and I am still recovering. Amazing how the actions of one person can change the course of another.

@ENKELI that brings much joy to my heart!! I wish I could post the video, I got a little footage of one scratching with little webbed toes, then doing a little shimmy shake!! Soooo cute!
