Sunday Coffee and Chat -- 8th February 2026

Oooooh @ENKELI , I love a hazelnut cofee too, we have a nespresso pod machine and we got the hazelnut pods, smells divine but do need a dash of sweetener to counteract the bitterness 😅

I'm a big caramel latte fan as well by nescafe, they do decaf too which is awesome, as I'm cutting down on caffeine consumption

The cappuccino machine sounds really cool! I've always wanted a milk frother but I've settled for using a mini hand blender to make it frothy 🤣

@Shaz51 it's sunny here and it's going to be a warm day. Once I've done my morning routine I'll be hiding inside until I have to head out again.

@Rosepetal96 working with a different age range i think would definitely throw things out a bit. Just remember that you are doing so well finding your feet again after having time off, things will continue to get easier as time goes on. Sending you hugs sweet ❤️

Good morning

Just finished my second coffee but I've been up for over three hours. I might have to go downtown later to get another Affogato.

We're getting a change of weather on Thursday. From 37 to 24 degrees and rain. I think I'll need to put the doona back on the bed. 😂 Only joking!

I got ready for my cleaner yesterday and stripped the bed ready to be made, put a load of washing on, washing up, mats picked up and vacuum ready. Then she rang and cancelled so guess who had to clean their own place. Oh boo hoo. It only took me an hour. I haven't had the energy or motivation to clean for ages, so it was a good idea to get a cleaner in. She only charges me $25 for the hour which is great!

I also washed the car for the first time in one of those car wash places that you have to do it yourself. My car very rarely gets washed. Now that I know how to do it, I'll use it regularly (or so I think)

I'll go to a bible study this morning but have nothing planned after that. I can't complain about a quiet day though. I hope you have a good day @Shaz51 💜

Hazelnut coffee sounds delightful, but so does an affogato!

Maybe I'll try to get creative with my coffee today, I've got some hot choccie in the pantry so I might try to make a mocha!

I would have usually had an iced coffee by now after my morning hot coffee but I'm just not feeling it today. I'm snuggled with Casper on my lounge and I've got a movie on. It's a rest day today for me. I managed to make the 2 phone calls I needed to so that's my little win for the day ☺️

Good on you @MissGremlin phone calls can be tough! Sounds like a very cosy set up with sweet Casper. I've been strangely not drinking a lot of iced coffee this summer, just sticking to hot. Maybe that's what I should try for my second coffee
