@Rosepetal96 yes my aunt has a big expensive flash machine too. Mine suited my budget and I didn't want to spend lots of money on something I may end up losing interest in. I haven't lost interest fortunately! I have a friend who did a barista course for her job (not sure which state you're in but in WA we have a coffee franchise called Dome) as cafe manager and she gave me a few tips. I can tell the difference between burnt coffee and not burnt but that's about it!

Different state here, but now I know a coffee franchise in WA! And I would not know the difference between burnt and not burnt coffee... I assume something to do with the taste or aroma?

Wow 3 hours of life admin. You definitely need time to unwind. That’s a lot of admin to be honest. Did you end up getting a rest? I’m glad you made the call too. I realise they are very hard to do. I use the National Relay Service and even then I dislike making or receiving calls. They’re always life admin or medical appointments etc. Not fun!
lol it’s ok I have 1 coffee a day and takes me hours to have it.

@Bunniekins squirrels are the cutest! I remember a couple of trips to Bali with mum and we'd watch the squirrels darting up and down trees, catching insects.
And can you believe they can be multi-coloured?! I was googling Indonesian squirrels and came across this one from India.
I'm thinking we might have to create a nice little squirrel compound in Bern.... 😁

@Rosepetal96 burnt coffee can taste burnt but it's very bitter. There are some coffees that are more bitter than others but when it's burnt you can tell.
I have only ever been to one particular Gloria Jeans outlet and never had a decent cup. It always tastes burnt so I don't know if they use poor quality beans or if the barista doesn't know how to make coffee.
Dome has good coffee but my favourite is Yahava which is a boutique coffee company in Perths' Swan Valley.
When I worked for a transport company I was given 6 kilo bags of coffee beans and wondered what in the world I'd do with them! Family and friends who appreciate good coffee were happy with me that year. I still have a bag left. So long as they are kept in a cool dark place they will last.
