So as part of my 55th birthday present to myself I bought a See Star S50 on Friday 23rd Jan 2026. The first night I was hosting friends so didn’t manage to get outside and the next 3 nights have been cloudy. I woke up at 3:30am this morning and looked outside and could see stars so I set up and got my first two pictures. These are 10 second exposures for a total of 10 minutes each.

Have you always been interested in space/astronomy? I've had times when I really wanted a telescope but never acted on it, then there are other times when I can't think too much about space because it feels overwhelming! If I had the opportunity to travel space I would be politely declining haha
