Re: Our Gardens

@SaltwaterSoul this was my dream house & garden and my partner and I were relaxed there, when we weren't fighting. I loved being alone in that house, as it actually felt like home. Since we had this house built a lot of thought and emotions went into it.

Unfortunately I lost it at the hands of my now ex husband. Who I will never forgive for that. But it is was it is and I have moved on from yet another thing that I have lost. And just try to concentrate on trying to find some suitable accommodation.

I hope your day has been kind to you 😊

Re: Our Gardens

Some beautiful pictures there @Shaz51 I think my mum had the same as your first picture, because I remember as a child I used to love popping the buds before they had opened.

Is that purple one a Jacaranda? We have a street near my mum's that has a lot of these trees and when the tree is in full bloom, it looks so beautiful. Whenever I see it, I think it would make a great wedding photo with the couple walking down the street. But the downside is that they make a lot of mess once the flowers drop.

Re: Our Gardens

Hi @SaltwaterSoul

My name is Calamity and I am new hera. Your plants look so luscious and vibrant. It is not as easy to have healthy indoor plants as people may think. I am not sure what is the best support pole, but I have Mandavillia's and Bagonias and I used some green poles that you can get from Bunnings or Temu. I use a green velcro tape to secure tendrils. It is easy to use, cut to size and gentle on the tendrils/branches. I like the green (plastic) covered poles as it is easy to unwrap/adjust as needed as the plant can not grow into it if that makes sense. I have over 40 pot plants I call my minions. I hope this helps. Have a great day.

@Mustang67

Thank you for sharing, and I’m sorry to hear that you’re struggling to find suitable accommodation. I really hope something comes up for you very soon. I often dream of a smaller house but with a big garden, a greenhouse or a tunnel to grow my veggies, a peaceful spot to sit and overlooking the nature, and enjoy some privacy from the neighbours, a place that feels truly calming for me. I think that's maybe why I got so many indoor plants, as it gives me a similar sense of grounding, but indoors. 😊

@Shaz51

Love these colours, so peaceful to look at. How does your plant go, that you had to move inside, any signs of recovery? 😊

@Calamity

Hi, and thank you so much for your kind words! Wow, 40, that’s quite an achievement, good on you. I would love to see some of yours, if you feel comfortable sharing. I also really appreciate your advice about the poles, I haven't got one yet, but I'll definitely look this up and see if it could work for my one. 🌻

Re: Our Gardens

@SaltwaterSoul that sound absolutely beautiful.

I always wanted a big house and now that I have had one and I am getting older, I will be happy for something like a villa. I have decided that I want to live a simple life without clutter. Somewhere with a view or in nature would be perfect.

This would be nice
