Re: Our Gardens

@tyme because of my chronic back issues, I can no longer wash my car manually. I used to love doing this job and always offered to wash Dad's car as a child. I love hand washing, as you can see if anything on the car needs attending to.

These days I take the car through a laser touchless car wash.

It even has coloured lights that flash and it blow dries. Lol

Re: Our Gardens

@tyme after 21 years of having him up on a pedestal and loving him deeply, I now realised that it was all fake. He didn't love me; he wanted to control me. And since I was only 20 when I met him, I didn't realise what where the signs of abuse.

I sure know them now. And he is no long on the pedestal and I am no longer madly deeply in love with my abuser. He is just a piece of sh*t to me, that I had the unfortunate luck of meeting him and wasting 11 years of my life with. A big lesson learned.

Awwww @Mustang67 . At least now you can live the life you want without being controlled!

Re: Our Gardens

Correct @tyme I have learnt my lessons and know the signs. My current partner has had it tough with all the boundaries that I now have in place, but he thinks that I am worth it. And he has done a lot of work on himself mentally, so I am happy to have found a person who thinks that I am worth the effort.

Re: Our Gardens

Awww Thank you @tyme I have been through a lot, three times over. But the last one was the one that broke me completely. And it is from there that I have started learning and rebuilding the stronger version of myself. No longer will I stand for being disrespected or not treated appropriately.

Re: Our Gardens

I took a very quick walk (due to back spasms) around some of my mum's garden to take some photos of her plants. Unfortunately, since my dad's passing in 2024, my mum has lost interest in her gardening, and she has been out watering it as regularly as she usually would, and a lot of it has now died off.

I have no idea what these plants are called, so if anyone knows, I would love to be educated.

The beginnings of a Rhubarb Plant

Is this one called Jade?

@Mustang67

Sorry for the late reply to your post. BUT Wow, that’s such a beautiful garden! Looks like a peaceful place to be in as well, It must have taken some time to do! Sometimes it can feel so grounding to look at plants that you know that you have planted and cared for. I feel like that all the time with my plants, it's a good feeling. A sunflower sounds like a lovely idea, let us know wherever you decide to do or not. 😊
