@Shaz51 Good to know you are cyclone-savvy!
I'm just in planning stages of my garden, as I'm new here. There's already shrubs & some natives planted here, so Im going to work in with the existing ones.
There's a row of shrubs all along the front fence, noticed they are quite hardy thankfully & have an orange flower. I'm thinking of scattering a heap of multicoloured marigolds all along the front section. Different Oranges, yellows, white & reds. I quite like nasturtiums too.
Seriously considering abolishing the patch of lawn at the front & replacing with a groundcover. Maybe do it in sections. Path to a bench.
Trellis with apricot climbing miniature roses at my front gate.
I mostly like hardy, "thrive on neglect" type of plants such as succulents.
There's a long line of bottlebrush trees (saplings) down one side, and on the other side, there's a couple of trees in front of the windows. (also saplings).
I plan to do a herb garden maybe on the front or back patio, and try my hand at growing microgreens, baby tomatoes, chillis.
Health permitting.
This is hopefully my forever home now, (as far as I can envisage anyway.)
