Cuddlebears Space

Cuddlebears Space

Hello everyone I’ve made a space here.

I’ve been having a really rough time. I have experienced a lot of trauma and abuse since childhood. I’ve been on forums for a while now and thought to start a thread so that my journey and anyone that cares to see how I’m going and offer support or advice can find me here.

I have complex ptsd, anxiety and severe depression with anhedonia. I’m currently tapering antidepressant and it’s been brutal.

I am really struggling everyday and can’t find ways to feel better. I’ve tried so many things.

I am having daily panic attacks, my body shutdown and I am so lonely with very little support. There’s a real heavy darkness around me I feel so unloved and worthless. I can’t do basic things like shower, eat, clean and going out is very very hard. I have no purpose or meaning though I try to create it but nothing works.

More recently I’ve experienced passive SI and sometimes more active. The tapering I believe has caused these symptoms. I’m safe.

Im finding it hard to write this all up. I hope it gives you some insight. @MissGremlin @AlwaysMyself@Chasingsunsets

Re: Cuddlebears Space

Hey @Cuddlebear, I'm not too bad today, thanks for asking.

I am around for a bit lovely. I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well.

What's going on with you today? 💛

Re: Cuddlebears Space

@Captain24 I did not see the tag in your thread. I definately would love to be on your thread. If you can tag me again I will favourite it too but tag me as well.

Im so sorry you too are not doing well. You are trying very hard I can see that by what you’ve already achieved today. Doing want you’ve done is terribly hard and you’ve succeeded. You done it. I’m proud of you. It doesn’t matter it took a week for the kitchen. Just getting up and getting through the day is more than enough. Is there anything you’d like to talk about? I am in a very stuck state. I have not had a good moment for nearly a year. I wake up in full panic and anxiety and am so depressed. I can’t do anything. I feel afraid of my future and have no real life support. I cannot find hope and can’t access services. I feel so unloved and nothing I try works for me. It is relentless from physical feelings to mental. I feel so sick today and have a lot of dread.

@Nala2022 Hello it is so good to see you here. My body is shaking and I have a lot of panic and anxiety. The depression is awful. I am safe but I’m just so unwell. Feelings if dread are big today and I’ve lost hope that I’ll ever get better. I’m so lost. Not a moment of relief for almost a year.

@Cuddlebear things are tough for me but I'm doing my best. I get those times when breathing through it is hard but we're going to get through together sweetheart. You're not alone in this ❤️.

Re: Cuddlebears Space

I’m sorry that it’s so hard and you can’t get support @Cuddlebear. I get the stuck feeling. It’s like there is no hope and nothing to work towards or even try for. I’m feeling a little like that but I finally see my psych on Tuesday after having to cancel the last few appointments due to vet bills! Lots of them…

Thats why I tried this morning just to see if I could find a shift. I didn’t but it was all good and healthy for me. I might try and do the same tomorrow and see what happens.

Do you have anything that you could do, like sit outside and have a cuppa?

I don’t really know much about you. Do you have pets? Do you have any hobbies?

Re: Cuddlebears Space

I’m so sorry you’re going through this @Cuddlebear 😔

I’m really glad you’ve reached out here and let us know you’re safe. You don’t have to hold all of this on your own. I know the forums are an important source of connection for you, and I’m glad you’re here with us

If you feel able to, I’d also encourage you to reach out to a trusted support person or another support service today, so you have someone alongside you while things feel so overwhelming

We’re here with you, and I’m really glad you checked in 💛

Re: Cuddlebears Space

@Captain24 Are your fur babies ok? Vet is very expensive and wish it wasn’t like that. I hope you can get a Sunday shift. I’m so glad you can finally see your psych. I wish they all bulk billed and that we could have as many appointments in a year as we need. I don’t know a lot about you either. I’d love to learn more if you want to share. I have anhedonia. Nothing brings me any joy and my nervous system is frozen. Like many others here I have severe complex trauma. I have no hobbies I can do and sitting outside brings me more fear and feelings of unsafety. I sit in my room and do nothing. I also have peripheral artery disease which impacts everything. I am also deaf and legally blind which really limits what I can do. I have a seeing guide dog who I love very very much.

@Nala2022 I really dislike going through this. To be honest I’ve tried the services and have not gotten anywhere. They have few back up resources and many of the volunteers can be quite triggering and abrupt. I have 1 friend I can message and I feel for them so much. They too are not well and I don’t want to over burden them. We carry through together and I try to support them too which is good.

I just wish there were real accessible supports in mental health. I’m grateful for the forums.

Re: Cuddlebears Space

One of them nearly died in February and now she has diabetes that we can’t seem to get controlled. She has cost me over $15000 since Feb. Pix is 7 and I have Jett who will be 3 in October. Both longhaired chihuahuas. They are my only reason for living. @Cuddlebear

I have AuDHD, bipolar 2 and cPTSD. I’m on a shit load of medication!! I am lucky as I can usually afford my private psych and I have a private Pdoc as well. I can get o tone shifts but I don’t like doing them. I work 62.5hours in 5 days and that includes nightshifts. I drive one of those big ass trucks in a coal mine.

I live on my own and in my own home. I don’t really have many friends and no one I can call on. My bestie has been upfront and says she doesn’t know how to help me. I appreciate her honesty. I’m currently taking a week of work to have a break and look after myself. I have my parents who are really good in helping me and doing stuff for me but pretty much disregard my MH. They do know my diagnosis and know that o see people often but don’t ask questions.

I get the nothing bringing joy. I was like that and had to work hard with the support of my psych to be actually able to try things again. But without any support that would be really hard. I’m sorry about all your health conditions that must make everything so much harder. Not being able to do anything to even find joy. Being legally blind how much can you actually see and where? I know a girl how only has peripheral vision.

Sorry about going outside, do you have agoraphobia as well?

Sorry about all the questions as I’m really bad for that! If you don’t want to answer then don’t and if I cross the line please tell me!

Re: Cuddlebears Space

I'm sorry to hear that @Cuddlebear. It sounds like you've made a real effort to reach out for support, and I can understand how disheartening it must feel when those experiences haven't been what you needed. It can make it much harder to reach out again

I also hear your concern about not wanting to overburden your friend. It sounds like you both care a lot about each other. Even a small check-in, if it feels right for both of you, can sometimes help remind us we're not carrying things completely alone

I was also wondering if you've ever registered for the SANE Recovery Club? If not, and it's something you'd be interested in, you can register here https://www.sane.org/recovery-club
