Hi @ZiggyStardust

I think this year I need to work on getting into more of a routine. I tend to get out of bed and twiddle my thumbs for a while because hubby doesn’t get up early. He tends to stay up later and get up later. I go to bed early and get up earlier. My support worker will be back tomorrow so she will pick me up at 8:40am. We are going to the 9am showing of Avatar tomorrow morning.

@Shaz51

I have really missed our peer support workers but you have done an amazing job keeping the forums ticking along. I was kinda burnt out after my prac, so I took a back seat. So glad you were here for the forums family

Morning @Shaz51

I'm having a coffee as we speak. I have the washing machine on and I've just sat down to have my second cuppa for today.

Damn. You just reminded me that I put a load of laundry on this morning, but never hung it out. It'll now be manky after steeping for hours 🤔

@DogMan79

Rewash it tomorrow and don’t forget to hang it out. Maybe set an alarm to prompt you

Re: Sunday Coffee and Chat -- 4th January 2026

@Rosepetal96 Yes we do have Aloe Vera, fresh and all, but an even more effective remedy than Aloe Vera is applying fresh tomato (juice,) to the effected era. Slice a small piece of fresh tomato as soon as the red begins showing/hurting and keep (re-)applying until pain subsides. For applied like this is will not only sooth the pain of the sunburn, but it will also set the colour and the burn will not peel the skin. Along with Aloe Vera this treatment is giving yourself the best possible treatment for sunburn. (We have used this remedy since our kids were toddlers with excellent results.)
