New years eve hang-out

New years eve hang-out

Ok so it's new years eve, it's supposed to be a night to gather with friends and see in the new year, but I've noticed that there is quite a few of us that are spending it alone.

Well welcome to the hang-out zone, come and chill with us and let's enjoy the night together. Whether you want to sit and read a book, do some colouring, a puzzle, watch a TV show or movie, build some lego, do some painting, even just to chat, whatever your chosen activity is it's welcome here ☺️. We can be here in this space together to enjoy each other's company and have some chats, I'll be around all night to chat to anyone that wants to ☺️.

Happy new years eve to everyone, you are not alone ❤️.

@AlwaysMyself looks good so far very fine details too! Did you take some of your fine brushes with you to Sydney?

@Cuddlebear yummy, hope you are enjoying it ☺️.

Oh I didn't know you had a bird. Snuggling on your bed and watching youtube and chatting here sounds wonderful i reckon.

MJG017 I am 'young and grumpy'? 😅 Actually, I'm not really grumpy - I'm just non-party person lol. 😋 I would love to hear about what you 3D print and what type of printer you use, etc. I have a Bambu P1P but haven't done too many prints - I just do things occasionally that I need or for a specific purpose or gift. I did make the Bambu Lab Switch Dock Piranha Plant -- it's the only very large item I have made. I've printed some card-holders / dividers for boardgames. I plan to print some minis for D&D games for my friend. I don't make 3D model/CAD designs though. I don't have the interest to learn, but maybe in the future if I feel like learning a new useful skill. Do you make 3D models yourself?

@AlwaysMyself I've had a Bambu P1S for quite a while, but added a H2D a couple of months ago. I sued to do a lot of models... I did the ships from Battlestar Galactica and the Robot from Lost in Space. I think I posted Photos of them here somewhere. These days, it's mostly fidgets. I did some for a friend and my partner... who showed people they knew... now it's basically a full time job! 😁 That Switch dock looks awesome though, I hadn't seen that.

I've done a bit of modeling myself, nothing complicated, just simple things i've needed or people have asked for. Tinkercad (online) is a great 3D design tool to start with. Extremely basic, limited in what you can do, but very simple and easy to knock up some projects to print. Onshape (online) or Fusion 360 when you want to get a bit more serious. Lots of YouTube videos for them all to learn from.

Oh, and I did develop a bit of an addiction to buying filament 😂

Re: New years eve hang-out

@Cuddlebear somehow I did not realise you also had a cat and bird! Wow! That is cool! 😁

So, I meant to take a paint-by-number with me along with some fine brushes for it, but I forgot to. 😂. So all I have is the brushes that came with this kit, which i also used for the fine details on my 3d plaster I did on Monday 😅 so they are not pristine-pointy. I had to cut a stray bristle and the tips of it already earlier today 😅.

Passiona sounds a nice treat for a drink. 😊. Cheers!

@avant-garde I am glad the math is helping. I like your count-down. 😊. Can you explain to me what the "10 - wednesday..." etc mean? the numbers before the dates. I am curious. 🙂

I am so busy on the forum that I have "watched" 3 episodes of a TV show and still have absolutely no idea what the show is about 😂🤣.

@AlwaysMyself @Actually, that new profile picture I have was I guess you could say “inspired” from a racist white man (a d*ckhead) that said “yin and yang” to me over the weekend in the cbd while I was about to head into the park. Pretty sure to him I looked Chinese which is what i am (well I’m actually Chinese-Cambodian but I just look mainly Chinese/Vietnamese) I did mention about what happened the same day that it occurred, and I think I tagged you on that post as well that day but it seems you might’ve missed it 🙂

yeah I’ve never been outside at night, it’s too dangerous especially if you’re a female
