General chit chat

General chit chat

Hi@Faith-and-Hope, @utopia, @Mazarita

I'm still not very good at 'navagating' this site, maybe that's why I kept trying 'instant' chat sites - they seemed easier. But I like that messages can be checked, that it's not instant feels like some sort of barrier against instant shock I suppose - though I know this is a public Internet site so anyone can use it. I also think, though I hate the term Mental Illness, as I think it takes all the physical out of it, that the people that cause trauma probably suffer from it, so they would have just as much right to use it. But I feel a bit like typing I think, so I thought I might just blurb a little?
I've went away for a few days. I go every month. I visit the center of my Universe 🙂 The one person who has been there with/for me, their whole life & I believe will remain that way until I die 🙂 . . . & quite the large Family they have provided for me to share in 🙂 I go from, it almost seems like another Planet sometimes, my life is very quiet; to the center of my Universe, which includes 5 grand-children ranging in age from almost 2 to, going on 18; then there's the partner, the partners Parents and a large variety of friends 🙂 I often find myself thinking 'alein sound dimension' - there's so much noise on so many different levels! Every single one of them has every gadget known to mankind, and most of those gadgets make noise! And my World is a lot calmer, with a lot less going on - we're usually driving in the car, taking children to school, doing whatever shopping is necessary for the day in time for whatever seemingly endless appointment is due, . . . by the time my alarm goes off to make sure I wake up in time to get tired in time to go to sleep in time 😄 There's no way I could keep that pace up anymore! After a few days I find myself almost running away with my tail between my legs 🙂 But it's the perfect balance really, I do spend a lot of time alone - apart from my 3 furry, four-legged friends; but I am extremely lucky, my bond with my only child is of a strength I can't see breaking; I get a phone call or text every night & welcomed by a dozen open arms and smiling faces every month. I am lucky, I have a good life. Well, I think life is just a word, neither good nor bad. I have good experiences and I am happy 🙂

I've done it, I've made an appointment at the Dentist for 2.45pm tomorrow. The cost shocked me. I think I'm still going to have to 'get my head around' going to the hospital at the city. I don't have many back teeth left and I'm about to lose another one, I think I'm going to need a denture plate {if that's the right title}. I can't even imagine what one of those will cost. I tried to understand the pages that Mazy sent me, but as far as I can tell, even having a pension card I may not be eligable. I couldn't call this an emergency, I've been putting up with it for a year or more, and I don't suppose a 'plate' is either. Is that really the only way you can acess a government dentist . . . if it's an emergency? I would go in and make a normal appointment and wait, a year, whatever, but it's so complicated.

Hi @Former-Member, I'm really glad you have the private appointment now. It seems to me the next step with the government dentist would be to go there and make an appointment of some kind, either emergency (least waiting time) or non-emergency (can take a year or more). I'm not sure what happens about plates either but you could ask them while you are there.

How's your day been aside from this? I've had another blanked out day not getting out of sleepwear. It's okay though. I have things on tomorrow that will get me up early and into the world again. It's the last time I see my support worker tomorrow, a special day.

Helo Mazy @Mazarita🙂

It feels like the appointment isn't real. I'm not really glad about it, there's just something in my head that knows this tooth has to come out now. The tooth doesn't hurt, but the area thet hurts around it is getting bigger. Next time I go to the city I'll try to make an appointment, I don't mind waiting.

Hasn t really been a good day. sorry yours is been blank. I imagine you'll feel sad about your support worker, try to feel happy about you being able to make this decision 🙂

Bl**dy fingers, bl**dy keys - this post took a bit of fixing.

Lots of love and hugs to you Mazy

Re: General chit chat

I feel so pathetic, I can feel all the physical stuff kicking in. Tears behind my eyes, whole body tensing up, breath taken away. I want to go back to it not being real, back to watching the movie with the stupid woman, childish, selfish, stupid woman. I don't want it to be me. I want to blur, otherwise I can't do it, I want to blur. I have to go soon, it take an hour to get there. I have a disgusting mouth and I'm going to dentist, they always give me looks, they don't have to say they're disgusted, there looks say it. The smell and the goo says it. I want it out.

Hi Niqua,

Sorry you have gone through such a hard time to get to the dentist. How did it go after all? Thinking of you.

Support worker meetup went well here, first we met in a cafe and then went to the beach. I will see her again probably, just not as my support worker anymore and in a different group context. We also have each other's email address. After that, I went to the art group at the local mental health centre. It was really engaging, painting to music. Nice group leader, nice couple of other people in the group.
