General chit chat

Hi@Faith-and-Hope, @utopia, @Mazarita

I'm still not very good at 'navagating' this site, maybe that's why I kept trying 'instant' chat sites - they seemed easier. But I like that messages can be checked, that it's not instant feels like some sort of barrier against instant shock I suppose - though I know this is a public Internet site so anyone can use it. I also think, though I hate the term Mental Illness, as I think it takes all the physical out of it, that the people that cause trauma probably suffer from it, so they would have just as much right to use it. But I feel a bit like typing I think, so I thought I might just blurb a little?
I've went away for a few days. I go every month. I visit the center of my Universe 🙂 The one person who has been there with/for me, their whole life & I believe will remain that way until I die 🙂 . . . & quite the large Family they have provided for me to share in 🙂 I go from, it almost seems like another Planet sometimes, my life is very quiet; to the center of my Universe, which includes 5 grand-children ranging in age from almost 2 to, going on 18; then there's the partner, the partners Parents and a large variety of friends 🙂 I often find myself thinking 'alein sound dimension' - there's so much noise on so many different levels! Every single one of them has every gadget known to mankind, and most of those gadgets make noise! And my World is a lot calmer, with a lot less going on - we're usually driving in the car, taking children to school, doing whatever shopping is necessary for the day in time for whatever seemingly endless appointment is due, . . . by the time my alarm goes off to make sure I wake up in time to get tired in time to go to sleep in time 😄 There's no way I could keep that pace up anymore! After a few days I find myself almost running away with my tail between my legs 🙂 But it's the perfect balance really, I do spend a lot of time alone - apart from my 3 furry, four-legged friends; but I am extremely lucky, my bond with my only child is of a strength I can't see breaking; I get a phone call or text every night & welcomed by a dozen open arms and smiling faces every month. I am lucky, I have a good life. Well, I think life is just a word, neither good nor bad. I have good experiences and I am happy 🙂

Hello Mazy

I was glad, yet surprised to hear you were in a better mood yesterday. You hide your negative feelings very well. I had no idea you were having a bad day the other day, I’m sorry you have to go through that.

Are the NBN fellas finished yet?!? (I’m having trouble typing, I’m doing this on Microsoft Word so it will fix the spelling – but for instance, just then, instead of typing ‘yet’ I typed ‘you’ . . . and it was spelt correctly. So please excuse any stuff that doesn’t make sense )

I take the long release medication too, I’ve been taking the anti-inflammatories and medication every day since the ‘hot spot’ in summer where my body really started complaining! I’ve been taking them in the morning too, since the trip as my body has been whinging a bit. My shoulder is feeling a lot better now, but my muscles seemed to have kicked in, because I’ve got sore ribs and there’s no joints in there that I know of? Whinge, whinge, whine, whine

I agree with you about pain relief being important for healing. Particularly if you have an underlying condition that causes constant pain. I do remember a time, not specifically, but that I had no pain. I was working in Personal Care and was proud of the fact that my back didn’t hurt – ppfftt, it was probably back in the days where I was still doing the injuries (although I know this would have happened to me no matter what).

I’m secretly stoked that you think I’m made of strong stuff! But I’m made of the same carbon and elements as you and everybody else I think it’s our experiences in life that make us strong (or stubborn, whichever the case may be )

Oh Mazy, I’m hating this feeling. My fingers won’t hit the right keys, I can’t think of spellings that I usually don’t even have to think about! It’s like I lose myself a bit for a while, it kind of feels lonelier. It’s almost like that trip gave me a high for a week and burnt everything out, and now I have to pay for it. I’m starting to slide, I’m starting to feel like I’m not me, I really don’t like this. I guess today is one of those days it’s not so easy. But I’ll be fine, just wanted a whinge.

I’m onto another series of Brian Cox ‘Human Universe’, it doesn’t go into fission or fusion so much – in fact it’s going into some things I find extremely interesting. I knew they’d found ‘liveable’ planets, but had no idea they estimated that there may be millions or even billions in our own Galaxy! . . . There’s hope the Human plague will spread past this Planet yet! And I had never heard of the signal that was received from space to Earth in the seventies! . . Wow – that is contact, they just can’t replicate or prove it.

Sending you lots of appreciation and love ❤️

Niqua

@Mazarita, I found the message, it had to be moderated because I'd used a medication name. So I'm posting it again. Hope your sleeping peacefully and that your appointment went well

Re: General chit chat

Hi @Former-Member, I saw the message you first posted in email notifications. How are you feeling at this point in the day? I hope your sinking feeling has subsided. Now that you mention it, I think we've talked about that common pain relief medication before. I'm glad to hear you have that too but I still think you are strong. I also love your reply that, like everyone, you and I are made of carbon and elements. So true! I hope you can be gentle on yourself when the keys won't work properly for you at times. I know how frustrating that must be for someone as articulate and expressive as you are via words. I would feel the same. And do, when I'm on my mobile! Whinge away. We all get the outlet for that here. I certainly like to do it too! Another related whinge I have right now is that, although I've recommended Brian Cox, I can now hardly remember one detail about the shows I watched with him in it! Anyway, over to Night Shift again, I think. There seems to be an unusual number of us there at present!

Re: General chit chat

I thought you must have seen it @Mazarita, your message would have been uncanny otherwise (refering to being burnt out etc) I'm fine Mazy . . . well I eill be 🙂 Brian Cox has a lot of shows, I don't think your supposed to remember them - just the bits that stick in your head 🙂 I think I'll pop back onto to night shift and say goodnoight again 😄

Good Morning Mazy @Mazarita

Good on you for tackling the sleep pattern thing 🙂 Sounds a bit like what I did, just started laying down at midnight no matter what, and although I still often don't get tired - now I will sleep 🙂 I use an alarm in the mornng too, and will do my best to get up with it (I used to be a lot stricter and made myself do it, figuring evenutally I'll get exhausted and I think it worked).

Thinking of you putting those intricate stitches and weaves inbetween the sleeves and the main of the jumper. I really have to do something other than the computer today, I just made my Good nights last night due to the computer shutting down and I'd spent both solar systems. I still haven't had the motorvation to start the generator, it's always a bit of a battle and I have to pull something apart to get it started. (and I really, really don't feel like doing that at night when it's cool 😉 )

I've finally finished all the Brian Cox stuff I got! The last thing I got out of it, was that the Galaxy of Adromeda (don't know if I've spelt that right) is going to collide with our Milky Way in about 4 billion years. He did say though, that our night skies are going to be even more beautiful than there are today - that's something to look forward to 🙂 Even if we have to visit from another Planet to see it by then!

Sending you love and positive thoughts to help you through your long day away from home

Good morning, @Former-Member. I just caught up with your second video, ace mate! I especially like the free asssociative way you have tailored the words and thoughts to the individual images. Great stuff! Look forward to more! Hope your day goes well, dear friend.

Good Morning Mazy 🙂

I'm glad you liked my slide-show 😄 You've put a big pride-puffed smile on my face 😄 😄 . . . and I just love, love, love, waking up to a Good Morning I lie when I say I'm glad we can't meet, though it's not a lie that I'd probably stuff it up - it's one of those conflicts in my mind, that I'm almost happy to bounce about 🙂 Hope your day is full of joy, my much appreciated friend XxX

Re: General chit chat

@Former-Member, it's an interesting subject about meeting people in real life that you have first met on the internet. I have strange and good experiences both from doing this in the past. Being on a five year manic high with bipolar, as I was in my mid to late thirties, well it did give me some 'interesting' experiences. I am still friends with someone I first met on the net by collaborating over the net on a creative project. I do think the purely net friendships allow less inhibition than there is when I meet people in real life. You might be surprised to find what an oddly stiff and distant woman I can be when not manic or expressing myself more freely on the net. I imagine you would be more immediately warm and welcoming. I mess up friendships too, by the way, and more intense relationships too. I have quite a number of them in my past that didn't work out, largely due to my craziness.

@Mazarita

I've had terrible experiences meeting people in real life, that I met first on the internet - all from dating sites, all men, all in my later years.

You might be surprised, you might not, at the little girl in an old womans body, that would face you in real life. Seeming to not listen or at least not understand a word you said. With a stupid smile and a trembling body, that quickly turns to tears - and won't even wipe her nose, because everything froze.

But I think you'd understand, and I don't mean feel sorry for me; I think you'd understand that it was a physical reaction, and if the dribbling bothered you, maybe you'd wipe it or at least ask me to - I definately do as I'm told; but you wouldn't use that fact and you wouldn't run 🙂

I think I could be brave with you, even the stiff and distant you; because I first met your soul. But I'm probably wrong, I often am - back to being glad we're internet friends

Re: General chit chat

It's kind of fun to imagine it, @Former-Member. But I am back to being glad we are internet friends too. It's like old fashioned pen-pals in one way.

Gidday Mazy 🙂

I read your having a bit of a slow day, don't beat yourself up about it - it's okay to have a slow day, you've been really pushing limits for a while now . . . you deserve a slow one

I'm feeling a little off - odd, I don't know what to call it? I'm fine - just disorientated. I took the dogs to the local national park (which I know I'm not supposed to, but no-one is ever there, and it's beautiful!). They loved it and unfortunately (they probably thought otherwise!) found something dead to roll in! (Peeeeeeeew! They're sleeping in the lounge tonight! 🙂 ) When I took off to come back home, I decided not to put the GPS on, not to go all the way back to the point on the h'wy that I'd taken to go in (as I'd gone into my little town first and then to the park and it was a lot further back then my home); instead I decided to look at it as just a drive, and maybe a little as a lesson in trusting my own sense of direction. I drove along all sorts of back roads, at one stage, as the roads were getting rougher and the bush was getting thicker, I thought maybe I was going in the complete wrong direction; but eventually I came out at the highway - so my trust in my sense of direction was worthwhile 🙂 But although I did turn the right way onto the highway, nothing looked familiar, I even drove straight past my own road . . . and even when I turned back and into my own road - it still didn't look familiar. Even my own driveway didn't look familiar! I've had this happen in the past, I used to drive to my Parents on a regular basis; the same roads every time; I could be driving on a straight road where there were no turns to make - and all of a sudden nothing would look familiar. More than once I had to do a U-turn and drive almost back to my home (there was an hour and a half between us) before I could recognise anything! It seems to happen at sunset, I'm wondering if it's just the light that makes everything look different - but I've been here for almost 20 years, I would have thought I'd seen my road and driveway in every time of the day light? Anyhow, aren't you lucky your my friend? You always seem to be the one I whinge to! It was just a whinge. At least inside my home, looks like my home - maybe the rest of the World's just to tidy 😄 I've got a wonderful aroma of lamb shanks baking in the oven, I've also got sweet potato and onion in there . . and even spiralled some zucchini to steam when the oven goods are ready. Can't say I remember the last time I made an actual meal!?! While I was in town I got a movie out of the machine, it's a science fiction called 'Rupture', it's the first new Sci-Fi they've had in there for a while. So I'm in for a good night I hope 😉 Apart from getting lost in my own back yard, which is a little scary. (Oh . . . and the unsweet smell of my fury friends 🙂 )

Sending you love and hugs, and understanding you need a slow day (or 2 or 3 :))

Niqua
