{this post has taken too long for me to write to start it with 'Good Morning' anymore :D}
I think it's a good thing your going to the Doctor twice a week Claire, you have been suffering for too long, it's about time you were given regular observation and care!
It might be unusual & strange for you to be sleeping, but your body so desperately needs it! It's wonderful that it's happening 🙂 Don't give up on a regular health pattern to that sleep, but for now just focus on letting your body physically repair during that hard fought for slumber 🙂
It wasn't the markings so much that made me put that particular pic of the horse up; it was more the colour - I just kind of pictured the white star on the forehead in my mind 😉 Perhaps the face isn't seen in your picture, having you take the time and effort to get the markings the same would be extra special for me, particularly now that I've learnt what a 'Wild Bay' actually is . . . & that it's the markings on the legs that their talking about - am I right? The black bits don't come up as far?
I had a pretty good day yesterday, though it wasn't what I expected. I went into town {be it a little later in the day then I'd planned; not arriving at the mechanics until 11:30 am} expecting to drop off my car for maintenance and wander around my little, shops-along-one-street, town for a couple/few hours. I took my service booklet in with me, thinking that way I can get an actual number for the price before I walk away, instead I get, after my booklet gets glanced at; it couldn't be done as filters and the likes had to be ordered in. I had booked the car in there the day I had booked in for the tyres. I expected after giving the details of my cars make and year model & the number of kilometers for the maintenance; that the qualified, professional mechanic business man would have the resources to source the technical information & source the parts or at least have a quote ready for the day & date that had been written onto a card of that business by a member of the staff for me to return! But no, nothing had been done. I was asked if I'd mind leaving my booklet there so that the neccesary parts could be ordered and then told the earliest to return was Tuesday as there's Australia Day public holiday inbetween.
HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY EVERYONE 😄

But I'd taken my library DVDs in to return as I thought I had 1 to collect, turns out I was wrong, but I grabbed my full quota of 5 DVDs while I was there; & ten had a bit of a summer shorts & a light cotton summer dress . . & a couple of toys for the fellas . . . & a few head scarves . . . & a couple of sheets {can't help myself in the place, I can't stop grabbing until I'm dropping things :D} from the local 2nd hand place 😉 [pretty silly thing to do really when I know I'm going back on Tues to wander my shops-on-1-street little town for real - but it was kind of what I had planned for the day ;)] I didn't take the dogs as I was expecting the car to be taken into the mechanics, so after grabbing a few grocery things from the local corner shop I headed home. Sat and unwound for quite a while, as it did blur things just a little when events didn't 'pan out' as I'd intended in my head. But I ended up getting on the roof and re-put-upering the back shade cloth (the old ropes broke a couple of days ago); & while I was at it I put a large car/camping side-awning{there was an Ebay oops, I ordered the biggest as it was the best value . . . but it really was too much bother to try and keep it up on the car! ;)} up out the front door too 🙂 Don't know how long it will last, but it's pretty dang good for now, I have both front and back veranders 😄 I have been 'getting too' a few things like the dishes and the washing, & yet not to others like the rest of the mowing & sweeping {I swear I have an allergy to that bloody broom!!! XD}
Loads of Love to you Claire

They're not just words of encouragement, they're more words of total Awe!! when it comes to your film/video screening in Melbourne Mazy!:)! I think it might be like, you know . . . one of those lifetime moments - I really hope you do get to be there for it!!!
I'd have to say last nights phone call with my child was very good 🙂 The chaos has softened a little with school resuming and creating a sort of forced routine? The grandbabies have even done the dishes a couple of times! 😮 Arrangements have been made with 1 plumber & I've sent the details for another to be contacted [I would like at least 2 quotes to see if there's any difference]. The relentless hours that my Child agreed to are also about to lessen a great deal. What felt like a Tsunami Tidal Wave to me, was probably more like a little splash to my child. Though I still feel the need for an apology from my eldest grandgirl; we seem to be riding this one out fairly well?
I used to swim into the Ocean quite a distance when I was younger, especially if I had a floating device - but floating or swimming I learnt those 'rips', the fast-flowing water under the surface, which may not be noticable in any way on top of the surface - can get you, they grab on and pull with the very force of Nature & can make 'getting back to shore' extremely difficult and terrifing!!! I'm too old to even think of that sort of adventure anymore!!! 😉 🙂 Just walking along the shore-line where the little waves are breaking, is adventurous enough for me these days 😄
You, me and many, many friends, will be interested in what your GP has to say when you visit her next 😉 Hope it's all, if not good news, at least understandable and helpful ❤️
I can understand how having C along with you on you 'residential ride' is reassuring, a burden shared is a burden halved; but I think sometimes it may also be a burden doublely worrying ❤️
Never thought I'd be able to make a wish come true, & I suppose I'm not really 'cause you can't really see my dreads . . . but here's a picture of my silk-clad 'Beehive' today 🙂
You asked me to tell you something about the birds where I am. I would say I don't have Currawongs here as I can't say I remember hearing their call. But I have many, many birds and other wild creatures living around me. I've written a little list, just of the ones I could think of :-
*Emus
*Kookaburras& other smaller Kingfishers
*Indian Miners {which are considered a pest in my area}
*Blue-headed Fairy Wrens & other small finches
*Top-Notch & other Pidgeons
*Pee-Wees&Magpies
*Butcher Birds&Crows
*All sorts of Parrots, King,Sulfur Crested Cockatoos, Galahs, Major Mithchell & other Black Cockatoos
*Wood Duckes& other water birds
*Ibis&Quails
*Frog-mouthed Owls& others
*Small hunting birds like Kites or Falcons
* Wedgetail Eagles! & others.
I've also got tiny little insect eating bats the size of large moths! & sometimes the occasional big Flying Fox fruit bat fluttering by; & Laced sand Monitors (Goannas) & Brown & other snakes 🙂 There's Big Red and Grey Kangaroos + I believe 'Pretty Face' wallabies (which I think may be a little rarer?) and others too 🙂 We have a Dingo & Ferral dog problem out here, though I'm yet to see a dingo . . . I've heard they are naturally shy? and a Feral Pig problem as well, which, as you know, I'm very grateful only to have seen dead ones and their bones!
Wow! It's turned into quiet the list!! But when it comes to the birds, what I'd like to tell you is that for me watching them makes my mind feel freer and gives me a feeling of connecting with all the winged creatures 🙂
Well, I'm about 3 hours late for Potatoe hour! Not going to knock myself around about it though, because I give myself the approval to blabber to my friends today 🙂 I'm letting myself feel that connection and enjoy it ❤️
But I'd better get off here and do 'something' for the day . . .
I'm thinking of that bloody broom . . .
Love to you Mazy - if ever I hear a Currawong out here, I'm going to smile so big and I may even shout out 'Hello Mazy' 🙂
