@REDLINEZ750 I'm trying to make my own little space. Sometimes I realize there is no personal space on here. I know it's for our good but it kinda sucks at times! Are you okay?

It's always lovely to see you @Chasingsunsets . Thank you for your support!
I'm better off emotionally and mentally this week thank goodness. I've been able to stabilise my emotions which has obviously affected my mental health in a positive way. It's been a bit of a struggle but am doing okay at the moment. I find it hard to watch family and friends fight their demons and not take it on emotionally. Not being able to do anything to help them is also hard. You know what I mean? Everyone is on their own journey, and I need to allow that to happen, no matter what their outcome is.
I hope you're doing well, my friend. Sending hugs and much love 💚

Gorgeous pic @heartathome I cant walk well at the moment, so I appreciate your scenes.
I really resonate with what you wrote...
"Not being able to do anything to help them is also hard. You know what I mean? Everyone is on their own journey, and I need to allow that to happen, no matter what their outcome is. "
being a mum when our kids are struggling is hard. I visited my son in hospital today.

I love this, couldn't agree more. We are taught as a society to restrict and hold, but we are born to be emotional and expressive beings! I cry often and it helps me to regulate, process, and move through emotions with so much more ease. @heartathome 🥰

Good morning @Realness
It's nice that you and your sister can do something together. The black jigsaw puzzle sounds extremely difficult! I haven't got the patience to do them.
I'm doing okay. My anxiety causes me to worry a lot which doesn't help my internal peace. God is helping me distance myself from issues that aren't mine. My son now has a serious drinking problem and has reached out to me. I wish I could help him but it's his journey, not mine. I'm trying to keep my emotional life somewhat separate from his and keep my inner peace. I have an open heart but it's not very well protected. I'm learning to protect it by boundaries and giving my worries to God! It's out of my control.
The political satire books sound very similar to real life. 😉 Are you enjoying them?
I'm back home and glad to be in a familiar environment. It was a difficult stay with my old partner as he still wants a relationship with me, and I don't want that anymore. I left four days earlier than planned. My friend is still bringing me joy even though he has a lot of complications in his own life.
I took a Veteran to the 10am march although he didn't march. I think he just wanted to go to the pub. The flyover was amazing at about 500ft. I haven't been for a walk in a few days because of the rain. We have rain till Tuesday. I still drive down for a coffee to keep some of the routine going.
It's good to hear that you're doing okay! Here's a flower for you. Sending hugs and much love 💚

I'm doing better than I have been in a while @Realness My emotions are a bit steadier, hence the poem. 💚
Emotional Regulation
I am steadier today,
not untouched,
but no longer pulled under
by every rising wave.
Something in me has settled—
emotions finding their edges again,
my mind breathing a little easier, even
in the storm.
It has not been simple.
There have been days I’ve had to hold myself
gently, firmly,
like something fragile and still worth holding
And I notice it in others too—
the people I love
wrestling what I cannot carry for them.
I want to reach in, fix, soothe, rescue…
but my hands can only hold so much
before they begin to shake as well.
So, I am learning this strange mercy:
to care deeply,
without drowning in what is not mine,
to witness without becoming the wound.
In a hard place, I learn not to harden
but hold what is tender with care
God's hope moves through the silence
and tells my heart - it will be okay

Younger Old
At sixty-five I stood awhile,
not fully ready for that mile.
A turning point I couldn’t hide,
where old and new both met inside.
For time has traced upon my skin
the roads I’ve walked, the wars within.
Yet in those lines, there softly grows
a deeper peace the heart now knows.
I’ve learned what matters, what to keep,
the truths that settle, calm and deep.
Less need to prove, less need to chase,
more room for kindness, truth, and grace.
There’s freedom in these slower days,
a softer, more forgiving gaze.
I meet myself with kinder eyes,
and find a steadier way inside.
So I'll walk on through my older days,
I’ll wear it well in quiet ways.
For though the years have changed my role,
they’ve gently strengthened my heart and soul.

Thanks @MissGremlin
I'm on a bit of a roll. It feels easier for me to write in poem form than talk about things at the moment. Things on my mind that need to come out somewhere. I know you get it. Thanks for the hugs and love. Back at you. 🙂💚

Hi @heartathome ,
I really enjoyed your last two poems. They capture where you are beautifully. Sorry to hear about your son. That's a tough place to be. I respect your wisdom not to go into fix it mode. May God grant your son healing.
