You can just go down in med size as well... thats probably better than cold turkey.
But the thing is.... most peoples attitudes in todays day and age are... a bit feisty when they're in a good mood. So when you're trying to be in your best mood you can often hate all sorts of various things and think about kung fu. A lot of people shout "yeah we're killin it" "we're murdering them" etc when they get really excited... but when you have zero mental focus and you are trying to be in the best mood possible they don't go together.
What people do when they mentally "go too far" is to suppress themselves back to being grateful/sorry/gift giving again and then, for me, feel terrible and then try to feel better and get fiesty again.. and its a constant loop... you need strong will power and autocorrection to live with it, something you don't have when you have no focus.
So the "choir boy" tones (content/boring tones) are actually above the feistiness levels and are a tone you can sleep to which is important. I guess white noise will do as well.
The research i've found on emotional tones are basically (summarised, from low to high): Total failure, Being an object, Hiding, Worshipping/controlling others, Blame, Apathy, Hopeless, Grateful/sorry/giftgiving, Covert hostility, Hate, Anger, Pain, Hostility, Monotony, Boredom, Content, Interest, Cheerful, Taking action, Ideas, Serene.
Most people are between grateful to hateful, but you can't be there without focus because you will hate everything, yourself continuously. If you can drill boredom/content very strongly you would be classified as a monk in my books.. mentally very strong and can withstand cold turkey.. the anti-psych drugs makes it hard to sleep and everything bothers you.. but if you're content, you're content..

Thankyou @Former-Member, @SGde3a
Yes @SGde3a, I have read all your comments to my hubby and he is now thinking of going off the Anti psychotics, but he is a bit worried about the withdrawals like not going to sleep and the other things you have written down
